Beijing confirms that it has "detained" the (now former) chief of INTERPOL

Recommended Posts

I did not know who the president of interpol was. When I first read the title I thought China had arrested some German, French, British, ect citizen that was the president. Makes more sense he is a chinese national. Otherwise could imagine the balls on China to arrest the head of a police organization who is also a foriegn national?

Still, when it comes to China, I have a feeling that "corruption" is something they can liberally use to go after anyone that displeases Xi.
