I want to believe the backlash this will cause eviscerates the GOP within the state, but they're so gerrymandered at the state level its not even funny.

Nytimes continues to be trash

Compare that to NBC's First Read headline:

"Sore losers? Wisconsin GOP seeks to strip powers of elected Dem governor"

Quote

Less than a month after losing the state’s races for governor and attorney general, Wisconsin Republicans are trying to strip the powers of the incoming Democrats, representing a brazen partisan power grab in this important battleground state.

Only this dipshit would look forward to a funeral. Also,

Bush Family Promised WH There’d Be No Anti-Trump Talk At 41’s Funeral

It's all but impossible to not appear to be bad mouthing Trump at these events because of what and abnormally horrible human he is.

If a speaker praises Bush for "standing up for democratic norms, being a devoted family man, and just an all around nice person" it will be hailed as a stinging rebuke of Trumpian ideals.

Why are lame-duck sessions even a thing? The GOP is going way too far with this.

It should be a no bills time, record keeping and data collection month

And yet people are aghast that I openly advocate for politically-motivated violence.

This is the GOP's end-goal with all states: Gerrymander states to such an extent that they cannot be removed from control of the legislature (even when losing by 20%+), and eliminate the power of the executive when Democrats win, and restore power when Republicans win. This ensures that they will dominate these states forever. It is absolutely a case where violence will be the only ultimate solution. Imagine having 3 or 4 elections in a row where the population votes 60-40 for Democrats in the state, but the Republicans hold power?

I think this goes beyond being sore losers...they're actively subverting the peaceful transfer of power.

Remember all the bright eyed idealistic people proclaiming that democracy had won on Nov 6th when so many Democrats managed to win.

I figured we would have seen this federally had Republicans lost the Senate too. So I am not surprised to see them doing this at the local levels.

Republicans are criminals. They should ALL be shot.

So is anything of significance being done to "fix" the BS in Wisconsin beyond angry tweeting?  We will show them at the election is what most people are putting out... this is happening after they showed them.. lol
