Jason
From a Facebook conversation amongst some of my friends, it sounds like the point of Scott's lawsuit in Florida was to slow down the processing of a bunch of ballots so that they run up against the Saturday deadline and can't be included in any recounts. @SaysWho? Commissar SFLUFAN
How the hell did this country ever become a global superpower? Oh, that's right. It became one by default when all of its rivals decided to self-immolate not once but twice in the first half of the 20th Century.

Mercury33
Man it would be huge if Poliquin loses in ME-2. That area of the state is basically as Alabama as you can get in the Northeast. So proud of my state for implementing the Ranked choice to make sure nothing like the LePage fiasco never happens again.

Jason
No hand recount in the Senate race. They've fucking done it. They've stolen Florida again.
Jason
And now I'm even more confused. It's within the margin for a hand recount. WTF? Quote Florida’s Republican Governor Rick Scott has seen his lead narrow over incumbent Democratic U.S. Senator Bill Nelson to about 12,500 votes, or 0.15 percent, by Saturday afternoon. I think -- THINK -- they do a machine recount to see if there was a machine error, and if the margin remains below the margin, they go to hand. Looks like that's it "If Nelson loses by an even narrower margin of 0.25 percent or less of the total votes cast after the machine recount is finished, the Florida secretary of state would need to order an automatic manual recount, according to state law." PaladinSolo
Only way Nelson pulls this out is if they find out there was a machine counting error that didn't count thousands of senate votes in SE Florida where there was a much larger percentage of people that didn't "Vote" in the senate election which is strange, the only other explanation is poor ballot design allowed a larger portion of people to not even see the election on the ballot, which seems really stupid considering the gravity of it.
