Rod Rosenstein, in anticipation of being more than likely fired today, may or may not have offered to resign

WASHINGTON—In a shocking development revealed just moments ago, sources confirmed that—oh, wait, sorry, false alarm. Multiple reports confirmed that, despite late-breaking suggestions to the contrary, you can actually forget about this news item and return to whatever you were doing before seeing this. In fact, sources have now informed reporters that we kind of jumped the gun on publishing this article at all, let alone labeling it “breaking” news. Frankly, sources concluded, this was our bad for getting you all worked up over nothing. Although, hold on one second, because several reports are now suggesting that it might still be worth keeping an eye on this story to see if—no, hold on, on second thought, just forget we said anything.

at this point, how many people are undecided where this would actually make a difference? I feel like after 2 years of Trump and this nonsense...you're either for or against him and nothing is going to change anyone's mind.

That's the internet.

In the real world, people are even dumber and less informed and many have few or no thoughts (yet) on this investigation other than they want to see it continue and done correctly. If Trump does something egregious enough in this investigation (I can't say firing Rod Rosenstein would do it, but it could) then yeah, it'd make a difference for the average American who says stupid shit in CNN's town hall meetings, etc.

It's almost mind boggling that some haven't picked a side or have stuck to Trump not even knowing how bad it is. Most people in this country genuinely don't know how bad things are like we do. Terrifying.

Trump's lawyers are already going after the Mueller investigation in lieu of Rosenstein leaving. Jay Sekulow said on his radio show that if Rosenstein leaves, the Mueller investigation should be put on "time out" and be subject to a "thorough review".

Would Rosenstein be on Mueller’s side? He’s a Republican right?

Mueller is a Republican too... So was Comey.  Doesn't matter to Trump.

In other news all of this may be overblown anyway. You guys should have known Trump wasn't going to fire Rosenstein when Hannity went on the air Friday night telling him not to because it was a trap.
