Spawn_of_Apathy Posted January 26, 2023 Posted January 26, 2023 Some people need stunt doubles in real life. Glad he’s out of the worst of it. At least I hope there’s no complications any time soon to require more surgery. Quote
Guest Posted January 26, 2023 Posted January 26, 2023 I'm not sure how heroic it is to forget to put the parking brake on your incredibly dangerous piece of heavy equipment and then try and fix your own mistake Quote

Nokra Posted January 27, 2023 Posted January 27, 2023 Once you commit one error, anything good that follows is just digging your grave deeper, obviously. Quote

No, but it isn’t heroic to avoid the worst outcome of your negligence. It’s why you have to investigate an incident like Sullenberger doing the successful water landing in NY. Yeah, it’s great that everybody survived, but if it was pilot error that caused the plane to be landed on the river, you don’t pat the guy on the back just because nobody died due to his error! Quote

SOME OF US have as many trophies for being an arsonist as we do for being a firefighter. It's like a coin doubler but for real life. Quote

Reputator Posted March 27, 2023 Posted March 27, 2023 The negligent and unheroic Jeremy Renner is friggin walking with his own legs. Jeremy Renner posts a video of him walking again after his snow plow accident WWW.NPR.ORG Actor Jeremy Renner was helping a family member retrieve their vehicle from the snow when the accident occurred on New Year's Day. According to the video clip, the treadmill contraption he's using is only putting 40% of his weight on his legs, allowing a gradual recovery of his strength. Very impressive nonetheless. 5 1 3 Quote

Greatoneshere Posted June 26 Posted June 26 I know it's easy to take shots at the guy's music and apps and Rennervations and all of that but dude has always seemed down to Earth and always has been a good to great performer. I recommend everyone read this at times harrowing interview in Men's Health that just dropped where he describes, among other things, his thought process as his body literally gets run over by this 14,000 pound snow plow and the exact list of injuries he suffered which was even worse than I had thought it already was (starts at the fifth paragraph in, what got me particularly is when he describes his right eye being able to see his left eyeball). A lot of the article is typical Men's Health stuff, in this case about his recovery (still worth reading) but the early bits about the accident is the main takeaway. His recovery, even with all his money, is still pretty crazy given it happened when he was 51 years old. The guy is 53 years old now and just 1.5 years later Mayor of Kingstown season 3 is dropping this month and he's doing Knives Out 3. Jeremy Renner Talks Recovery, Muscle, Grit, and Mayor of Kingston WWW.MENSHEALTH.COM How the 'Mayor of Kingstown' and 'Avengers' star found the strength and grit to recover from the accident that actually sort of killed him. MarSolo Posted June 26 Posted June 26 I read Stephen King’s recap of what he went through after getting run over by a van in On Writing… I don’t think I can read this. Quote
