What?

I don't post here enough to have an MO, lol! And I've never concerned myself with the looks of a woman as equating to there being a good movie or not, haha!

You SJW/KKK (Knights of Kathleen Kennedy) D1P posters won the war and ran all the fun out these boards long ago with your bullying and glad-handing made up nonsense. It's why there's so few people posting in here anymore. But I digress...

I'll still come back for the small, but interesting, talks about movies when they happen. But it's so hard to separate great analysis from the city college pyscho-babble that a very specific select few of you throw in here and there that it becomes a legit chore to get through a lot of posts... A LEGIT CHORE, haha. If anything, spinning a stupid photo I found somewhere else, where it's found to be funny by a good amount of people, just shows how miserable a lot of posters here are because of their hatred for life and for me (apparently), lol.

It's a funny photo of two people in ridiculous costumes, and the "standard" of beauty in the eyes of the majority of human beings is clearly with the wrong gender. But I'm sure you'll try and spin that logic into some hate-bait against lgbtq/minority/wtfbbq-sauce like usual.

Eh, whatever... :duckhuntdog:

Nah, I like the entertainment board and think it’s fun. Since you have a dumb agenda against Star Wars because Luke wasn’t how you pictured him in your head I can see why you don’t have a great time around here.

I continue to lul at people bitching about "social justice warriors" in franchises like Star Wars and the MCU / Marvel which all feature LITERAL social justice warriors like the Jedi, Captain America, and the X-Men.

Calling people who disagree with you about Star Wars, of all things, the KKK is fucking shitty.

1 movie doesnt make up for the years where women at best where just eye candy. Its a fantastic start but its a drop in the hat.

My sister in laws boyfriend explained it this way to me

The difference between Spawn/Blade and The Black Panther is the latter are characters that are black and thats it, you could easly swap in white characters and nothing of value is lost. The Black Panther on the other hand is very much defined as a character based on his his homeland and his "blackness" for a lack of a better term.

Dan O bannon wrote Ripley as male character, Scott went with women to fake out the audience.

What would you think if Ripley was a woman? She would be the last one you would think would survive—she’s beautiful.”

Black skin does not make a black man, hes a humanoid from the planet Socorro, played by a black actor.

Time to cover up the women folk, cant have the men becoming all lusty, they just animals and cant help themselves.

I laughed.

...just look at Star Wars...Lazy writing and virtue signalling. But Disney is learning that movie audiences are smarter and don't want that crap so these things bomb. Captain Marvel looks to bomb too.

You're honestly one of the worst posters on these boards.

Oscars don't mean anything. Get back to me when she makes a real name for herself in something other than TV dramas.

She was the lead in two objectively great movies (Room, Short Term 12) and has been in other good movies. What do you want from her you troll

I have nothing against you, but you definitely have some issues with women bru, from my vantage point. I've been a part of this community all the way from the anime and DVD boards since April 2001 back on the IGN boards, @Ghost_MH can confirm that for you, and I've seen your posts. I like some of your opinions, and not others, and that's fine.

But you have some real deep-seated issues relating to women, from what I've noticed over the years. That's all I was pointing out, and yes, I think in 2019 that's problematic. I'm 32 years old  - and I think you know me well enough to know I'm not some undergrad psychology major off the street. Look at the very first reactions you have to women in any thread about any movie. It comes up with you a lot. I'm not sure what to say than call a thing as I see it. I don't care about The Last Jedi enough to argue or change your mind on it, but this problem goes way beyond that film or Star Wars or the MCU.

@Pikachu drops a new trailer for Captain Marvel and your first reaction to it was to compare Brie Larson's butt with Tom Holland's and pretty much say nothing of substance. That's not a "fun" post, it comes off as gross and sexist. That was my gut reaction to it. If you'd said a lot more than that in the post (ya know, maybe something of substance about the new trailer?) I'd have written it off, but since that's all you really said, then taking into account the context of your post history, yeah, it comes off as gross and sexist.

But sure, I'm a virtue signaling SJW. Instead of fighting with me, maybe try to see what I'm pointing out? I have no agenda - in fact, I hate going after users on the board, because as a bleeding heart liberal progressive, I want to like and get along with everybody. But I do want to point out and call out bad behaviour when I see it too. And given you, @Zeluge@Bloodporne, and @TwinIon are some of the few who actually get into the nitty gritty of indie and off beat film analysis with me, I'm actually biased towards you, not against you. So, pray tell, with all that, why would I then say something negative about you? Maybe because it's true?

It really is. Just like when those people who disagreed with me open posted about how I needed to kill myself by hanging, and that all my friends should be shot dead because we have like-minded views on a movie we find terrible. But oh no, the trolls of this board are all fine with hanging comments, yet the line gets crossed when I post an amusing KKK jab... It's so childish on these forums all I can do is laugh hard when the trolls do their trolliest, lol

I'm sorry man, if you know me then I apologize for not knowing you. Yea, we've all migrated from the great IGN boards, and I was definitely in the anime forums since the beginning, and I was there before the boards even existed in '96, and that probably shows my age. But whoever you think I am, you're wrong. I've never complained about a movie based soley on gender. Done. There's nothing more that I can say about this weird accusation. Maybe you're thinking of someone else from the IGN boards since I didn't carry over the same username from there? I dunno, but it's really creepy to see someone say this about me when I don't post much here, when I don't post what you're saying I'm posting, and how I really never go on tirades. At most I should only be known here for doing screen grabs threads and year ending "Rate the movies you saw" threads... *shrugs*

But now, if you want to go into some deep meaning "existential crisis" about me posting a harmless photo that's already been circulated around the interwebs for awhile now, then that's all you *shrugs* It's a funny picture that has caused an odd reaction here when the only reaction (two reactions) should have been "haha" or "boo", and then posters moving along. Now we've got people talking about actor worth, other movies, "MO's", and whatever. And I'm not gonna apologize for not facing each issue one by one in a post, because you've said it yourself - "I don't care about The Last Jedi (sub in: weak D1P call-outs) enough to argue or change your mind on it, but this problem goes way beyond that film or Star Wars or the MCU (or D1P's absurd trolling)."

Hell, the only reason I'm replying to you and your post is because at least you're being civil with your words (wrong, but civil, lol). The death threats, the physical harm to my and my friends being (etc) that I've received in the past from the trolls here? Yea, they don't deserve or warrant my explanations, and they'll never get any. But you're cool... and I love johnny, sooo, congrats on receiving this reply? lol

I'm not for doxxing or bullying anybody bru, so if there are people around here who are doing that to you without provocation on your end, that's fucked up and I'll defend you all the way. Separately, the photo is harmless (I agree), but the context of your post was not, that's what I'm trying to say.

The rest, we agree to disagree on but I obviously am happy to move on. To be clear - I was simply referring to your posts since you have been @IdeaOfEvil, I don't remember what your username was on the IGN boards lol. :p

Look, we all should be more cognizant and better about how we post, me included. All good brotha. :)

I just want to chime in with a PSA to mention that “Room” is not “The Room”. Do not make that mistake. You’re welcome.

And you are honestly thick as a plank. These movies bomb BECAUSE of what happens when you make movies with shitty writing and SOLO bombed! TLJ did not bomb because the movie that came before it was really GOOD.

Now go back to wretching at Larson's toes you closetted foot fetished freaky boy.

Solo underperformed because of bad marketing that wasn't helped by a troubled production, a bad release date, and lukewarm reception from critics. Pissy crybabies mad about TLJ hardly had anything to do with it.

Both Captain Marvel and Episode IX are sure to make a lot of money.

Now go back to complaining about SJWs in film series about literal social justice warriors.

A seemingly dull movie with a SJW actor in it more like it. Everyone in the real would outside of toxic social media are ok with women in any role.

What the blue fuck is a “SJW actor”??? Larson was in Scott Pilgrim and even though that movie is fun it’s uh... problematic. SJW actor lel you guys.

Well this thread got out of hand.

I will say I've never seen a male actor get made fun of for a flat butt.

Also I'm sure that you won't see a flat butt in the movie anyway.  There will probably be either a cgi butt or a butt double.  So all the big butt fans have nothing to worry about anyway.

How about we don't have a movie about a female super hero that devolves into talk about the size of her butt or whether her feet are nice? Let's stick to the normal superhero stuff. Like if the costumes are ridiculous or if we'll get another villain we'll forget about ten minutes into the final credit scroll or any of the stuff that actually matters.

This really isn't hard.
