Jumping into an early lead by virtue of disliking Dallas just slightly less than everyone else, Keyser_Soze begins the 2022 season in his familiar place atop the leaderboard!  Will Week 2 see him hang on or will he stumble after leaving the gate?  On to Week 2 to find out!

 

########## WEEK 1 RESULTS ##########

 

Week 1 Feature Game - Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Dallas Cowboys (+1.5)
If you were able to keep your eyes open through this absolute thriller of a game, you're a better man than I. The Cowboys lose in a kickfest by a score of 19-4.5 (3+1.5).  Bets on Tampa Bay win.


QUESTIONS
1) What will be the first scoring play of the Feature Game? Bucs TD, Bucs FG, Bucs safety, Cowboys TD, Cowboys FG, Cowboys safety, or other? ($200 for the correct call)
A first quarter Dallas field goal started off the scoring in the Feature Game. It would be the only scoring play of the night for them.

 

2) How many interceptions will be thrown in the Feature Game? ($200 for the correct call)
Brady and Prescott each threw one INT a piece, for a total of 2 thrown for the game.

 

3) How many penalties will be thrown and accepted in the feature game? ($300 for the correct call)
Week one tends to be sloppy and this game showed it.  15 total penalties were assessed in this one.  Nobody called this.

 

4) Which team will score FIRST in the Week 1 match-up between the Raiders and the Chargers?  ($100 for the correct call)
Dustin Hopkins put up a 43 yard kick for 3 to score first for the Chargers.

 

5) Call the winners:
Jacksonville at Washington
Green Bay at Minnesota
Cleveland at Carolina
($100 for EACH correct named game winner, $300 bonus if you call all 3 correctly)
Many got one, a couple got 2, but nobody got all three to earn the bonus.

 

6) How many total points will be scored in the Baltimore @ N.Y. Jets game? 0-10, 11-24, 25-36, 37-45, or 46-55 or 55+ ($200 for the correct guess)
The Ravens beat the jets 24-9 for a total of 33 points on the day.  Calls on 25-36 get it.

 

7) Name the player who will score the first touchdown of the season (by "score" we mean "the player holding the ball in the end-zone; don't name a QB unless you are guessing a rushing TD by them) ($300 for the correct answer)
Josh Allen's 26 yard TD pass to Davis on Thursday night was the first touchdown of the 2022 season.

 

8) Name the player who will rush for the most yards AND the player that will have the most receiving yards in week one. ($800 for each player named correctly, $2,000 bonus if both names are called)
Saquon Barkley led all backs with 164 yards on the ground while Justin Jefferson hauled in 184 through the air to lead all receivers. Nobody called either player. Keyser_Soze called Jefferson's name, nobody called both players for the bonus.

WEEK 2 MOCK GAMBLING - SPREAD AND QUESTIONS

 

DEADLINE FOR WEEK 2 ENTRIES - 9/15/2022 (Thursday) 20:19 EASTERN

Week 1 Feature Game
Minnesota Vikings at Philadelphia Eagles (-2.5)
(Remember you are betting against the spread, not just the outright winner)

 

QUESTIONS
1) What will be the first scoring play of the Feature Game? Vikings TD, Vikings FG, Vikings safety, Eagles TD, Eagles FG, Eagles safety, or other? ($200 for the correct call)

 

2) Which team in the Feature Game willl have the higher average yards per play? ($200 for the correct answer)

 

3) Which team in the Feature Game will give up the most turnovers? ($200 for the correct call)

 

4) Which team will score LAST in the Sunday Night match-up between the Bears and the Packers?  ($200 for the correct call)

 

5) Call the winners:
New England at Pittsburgh
Arizona at Las Vegas
Tampa Bay at New Orleans
($200 for EACH correct named game winner, $300 bonus if you call all 3 correctly)

 

6) Over or Under: 44.5 total points in the Houston @ Denver match-up. ($200 for the correct guess)

 

7) Name both the highest AND lowest scoring teams of Week 2. ($400 for EACH correct answer)

 

8) Name the player who will rush for the most yards AND the player that will have the most receiving yards in week two. ($900 for each player named correctly, $2,000 bonus if both names are called)
