Commissar SFLUFAN
Studio Update: Guild Wars 2 Tenth Anniversary and Steam Launch on August 23 – GuildWars2.com WWW.GUILDWARS2.COM It's happening! Read on to learn more about this month's festivities. Quote It’s time to tell your friends to update their Steam wishlists—we’re pleased to announce that Guild Wars 2 will launch on Steam on August 23 at noon Pacific Time (UTC-7)! This is something we’ve wanted to do for a long time, and the tenth anniversary felt like the perfect moment to make it happen. Steam players will be able to experience the core Guild Wars 2 game for free (with the same restrictions applied to free accounts created on GuildWars2.com), with options to upgrade to Guild Wars 2: Heart of Thorns™, Guild Wars 2: Path of Fire™, and Guild Wars 2: End of Dragons™ from day one. We’ve heard your feedback that Living World unlocks should be better communicated to prospective players, so we’ll also be creating a Complete Collection bundle that includes Guild Wars 2: Heart of Thorns, Guild Wars 2: Path of Fire, Guild Wars 2: End of Dragons, and Living World Seasons 2 through 5 (Living World Season 1 is free for everyone). The Complete Collection won’t be immediately available to players outside of Steam, but we’ll be working to add it to our web store and the in-game store for players with accounts created via GuildWars2.com in the near future. (Note: Existing Guild Wars 2 accounts can’t be linked to Steam and vice versa. Please visit our knowledge base for more info.) Additionally, we’ll be making it clear on our Steam page that Living World seasons must be purchased separately from expansions. No surprises. Guild Wars 2 on Steam STORE.STEAMPOWERED.COM Guild Wars 2 is an award-winning online roleplaying game with fast-paced action combat, deep character customization, and no subscription fee required. Choose from an arsenal of professions and weapons, explore a vast open world, compete in PVP modes and more. Join over 16 million players now! CitizenVectron
Sorry to everyone in the D1P clan, I emptied out all the good stuff from the Guild Bank years ago.

Bacon
I mean, I know it is a Japanese company, but after seeing all the times Steam players get fucked in the ass for playing XIV via Steam, I'll never opt for a steam version of an MMO. If steam is the actual game launcher, like for Lost Ark, then that is fine.
CitizenVectron
My strongest memory of GW2, for some reason, is playing with @Commissar SFLUFAN and finding out my aunt had been diagnosed with Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease (mad cow). Weird. Definitely my favourite MMO simply because the leveling experience was so fresh and fun. I realize the end game wasn't up to what most people like...but I am a more casual player, so getting 20-60 hours out of an MMO is perfect for me. I recently went back and played again, and it's still a fun game. I love being able to just cooperate with people in the wild.
Bacon
I've tried out GW2 many times but I could not get into the combat and I remember feeling really lost after leaving the starting zone. I have a feeling that was due to my lack of MMO experience, but I felt under leveled and I had no idea how to level up as there weren't any quests on the map. TheLeon
I have vague memories of enjoying some Guild Wars 2. It was right after I built my first gaming PC.

I remember them saying how they knew very little about the disease at that time.
