Also, they're submitting this to the parliamentarian tonight so we won't have to wait long to find out if everything passes that muster. Found in this article:

The announcement came hours after the passage of a bill incentivizing semiconductor chip production.

Hell, I almost get a sense of "grudging" respect from the Republicans here!

It's not just grudging respect but tightening the screws on legitimizing power plays. Problem for Mitch is that the end of the road there is the end of the filibuster.

What about electric bikes doe.

Manchin is known to have a deep seated hatred for bicycles.  And that's one of the reasons why there is a tax rebate for unicycles and tricycles in this bill - but bike owners can go fuck themselves.

I apologize for not understanding but how did they get screwed?

BBB included $150b-400b to clear the Medicaid Home Care waiting lists and raise wages, 1.2 million disabled people are on them and they last 15 years in some states. Those with home care have caregivers making low wages or no caregivers. This is the group that got hit the hardest by COVID in terms direct health risk and turned a system that was an already sinking ship into a sinking ship on fire. This was pretty much the disabled community's only ask and is even more critical with SCOTUS about to gut the ADA to only cover intentional discrimination, once that happens Olmstead by extension falls. Olmstead is the legal requirement that state at least attempt to provide home care instead of just locking people into institutions.

Let's see if GM sticks with the Bolt price drop they announced, since I think that was decided to make up for the lack of EV credit eligibility. Will be really interesting if they stick to dropping it to $26k and then you can get the $7500 on top of that.
