A writ of habeas corpus in Florida argues Natalia Harrell's fetus should be released from a detention center to receive adequate medical care.

I have argued for years that no one is willing or able to actually put into effect the implications of a fetus being a person.  Prison is just one of many thorny legal issues.  Does a pregnant mother drinking count as child abuse and can the fetus be removed from her custody?  Can fathers sue for visitation of a uterus?  Is an unwanted fetus stealing blood and nutrients, and do self defense laws apply?

It's Schrödinger's fetus, whether or not it's a baby/person isn't determined until a Republican decides whether it'd be convenient for the argument they're currently making.

Abortion bans in Wyoming and Ohio are getting blocked by judges because of language Republicans put in their state constitutions about "individual health care rights" after the ACA got passed.

Conservatives amended state constitutions to affirm broad rights for people to choose their health care. Now abortion rights proponents are taking them at their word.

Within minutes of each other this afternoon, separate judges released rulings on mifepristone, the abortion drug. One banning it and one requiring the FDA to continue allowing it. So I guess the abortion pill now exists within some sort of a quantum realm.

The judge who delivered a high-stakes abortion pills ruling last week removed his name from a law review article during his judicial nomination process, emails obtained by The Post show.

Hey look, it's a conservative judge hiding something damaging again. Who could've predicted.

The Supreme Court on Friday protected access to a widely used abortion drug by freezing lower-court rulings that placed restrictions on its usage as appeals play out.
