Not sure if anybody else is a fan of working small arcade replicas but NWT today just announced their next unit and it's a 1/6h scale replica of Q*Bert. They're currently up for pre-order/pre-purchase. They're a bit expensive at $130 (+ shipping) but the build quality and attention to detail on their past units is fantastic. They're even going so far as to include a working Knocker into the system.

I own almost every other unit in the replicade line (minus Dragons Lair, I regret not buying it) and I'll be ordering one of these as well. I'm really looking forward to my 1942 unit that should arrive in the next few months.

New Wave Toys today just announced the next system in their lineup is up for pre-purchase (pre-purchasing gives you access to a $20 discount after you use code MCPRESALE at checkout). The unit is expected to ship in Q1 2022, but with NWT always expect some delays (so probably around March-May time frame). 1942 were shipped out a few weeks ago with 1943 expected to ship in a month once the container arrives, Q*Bert is still tracking for an end of year/start of next year release.

The two mini cabinets I've wanted for quite some time now are Tempest with a dial and Missle Command with a trackball. Both now being available is tempting in a way that I didn't want to spend money on.

If you're at all interested then don't wait and buy the MC unit now. NWT only does limited run batches of about 5,000 units for each cab (so both variants will have 5k made). Once they sell out that is it and their older cabs already go for 3-6x their original price on ebay. $130 or $150, depending on which model you buy, is the cheapest they will ever be.

 

With that said, sadly you're late on tempest, they won't be making anymore and it already goes for $300-$600.

@Ghost_MH if you had any interest in buying this there is less than 20 hours remaining to be able to purchase this at the cheaper pre-sale price. After the pre-sale the only chance to buy them again is when they ship out the pre-sale units next year and they sell what remains from the production run. Those units tend to sell out pretty quickly (dragon's lair was less than 1h, others then to be less than 1 week). After that units tend to go for 2x-5x on ebay since NWT only does single production runs.

New Wave Toys just launched the pre-sale of their next 1/6th scale replica (due to release in Q1 2023) which is Space Ace. To go along with its release they're doing another production run of Dragon's Lair which sold out insanely fast when they had done the first run.

I personally skipped out on Dragon's Lair first time around and kind of regret it, even if i'm not the biggest fan of DL but I am of NWT and their replicade line. I'll probably pick up the Space Ace unit this time around (debating still between the dedicated cab and the reskinned DL cab which i'm more use to seeing in arcades).

I totally forgot to give this page an update. There are two new items on offer from NWT for pre-production sale. A coke machine and food fight. Both systems have pre-sale discounts and there is a further $20 off (per item) coupon if you use SUMMER20 at checkout.

 

I passed on the coke machine but got a Food Fight. I really enjoy what this company does. I forgot to post photos of my Q*Bert when that came in. I'm expecting to see Missile Command near the end of Summer (Just finished pre-production runs recently and is now on to full production).

Yep, with that said these units are very playable and the GnG units will support usb controllers and hdmi out if you preferred torture that way. 
 

I do enjoy having one of these units out on my work desk at home so I can play them when I’ve got 5min to spare.
