Agreed, I have no faith they won't completely screw this up. I love Dead Space 1&2, but im expecting a complete bastardization of what those games truly were.

The original Dead Space still holds up really well, as I said, but holy shit that game was not perfect. It really did have some sections that needed to be re-thought (or removed completely). I loved that game but I remember being very fatigued by the end of it. The gameplay loop just got tiresome. It was extremely predictable (grab X object, fight off waves of necromorphs till lockdown ends, rinse, repeat) and by the time you're moving the marker at the end it was just a grind.

 

I changed my mind and now I would love to see a tighter, better realized Dead Space 1 with better pacing and minus some of the grindy gameplay toward the end.

    I LOVED Dead Space 1 and I don't agree with your take on the first game, DS2 was really good also but DS1 is one of my favorite games ALLTIME! Getting a Complete remake akin to Resident Evils 1 & 2 remakes makes me extremely happy. I'm a all things horror fan though so just my opinion of course. Day onw for me!

   SO HUGELY ANTICIPATING THIS GAME!! More so than anything else coming down the pipe that I know of!! This and Resident Evil 4 remake and maybe Scorn and my horror/thriller gamer in my is a happy guy! I hope this goes very well like RE remakes 1-3 so far so that we get Dead Space 2 remade as well . . .

I'll need to see real game footage, but something about the atmosphere seemed less spooky. 

 

Edit: saw post saying the ship will be fully explorable. You can backtrack and such. Welp, that kills the remake for me for the most part :peace:
