Texas Power Outages 2: Hot Hot Summer Edition

Recommended Posts

Large amounts of generation are offline (a lot of it, natural gas), and because of Texas'..."unique" grid, power from renewables can't be sent from the west to east (nor from outside Texas to inside Texas, in great quantity).

These problems will likely only grow in the coming years as climate change puts greater strain on our generation and use of power, and conservative politicians who exert local/regional control do not take adequate steps to bulk up grids (and alternate sources of power).
