I was listening to the Bombcast and  they said this guy did a feature on the switch but he basically copied a neogaf post word for word.

Yup. this is it (the link starts at around 28 seconds):

And this is the post:

Well normal rumble is just a motor which spins, creating a vibration. Basically.

HD rumble uses linear actuators, similar to apple's "Taptic engine" which is what they use for the Force Touch stuff in the new iPhones and Apple Watch. I BELIEVE that these are different in that they are more like weighted electro magnets, rather than a simple spinning motor. This means you can create a much, much more subtle variety of sensations compared to a rumble motor which is pretty much just a spinning motor - all they can really do is produce differing speeds of vibration.

I'm not an expert myself but I'm sure others on here can give you more of a technical explanation of how the actuators actually work.

He retained the word "extrudes" from the Polygon article that he lifted.

Of all the words to NOT change, he chose to keep "extrudes".  He deserves to be shot out of a cannon for that alone!

Can you give me the links to both the article and his video? This is such a mind warp and I wanna see how closely they resemble each other as the latest developments have been amazing.

I mean let's be honest, his critical thinking skills appear to be not that hot, no?

I look forward to the end of year awards category Giant Bomb creates for him.

Filip Miucin presents the Gerstmann memorial award for outstanding ethics in games journalism.

Alternatively, the "Wait, plagiarism is wrong?" award powered by Dan Ryckert.

As in the format and layout is copied from a template or actual job description/tasks etc.?

I've never not copied a template in terms of format and layout for my resume.

The template was copied word for word in his Linkedin profile. The right is the template. Notice how there's no change in his profile on the left.

It wasn't a layout that he copied; it was a generic template that he copy-pasted and made into his "resume" of his skills and talents.

Lol...I somehow didn't read it that way at first for whatever reason. The level of absurdity is a full-on 11/10.

This story has been truly amazing to follow. The schadenfreude of watching him go down, the uneasy shame of enjoying an internet pile-on, the redemption of that shame when more and more plagiarism is discovered... It's incredible. That linkedin resume is the icing on the cake.

So much has been uncovered, part of me is like "no... there is just no way this can be real".  At any moment now, Filip is going to post a video saying "Years ago I decided to do a social experiment starting with the tweet about plagiarism. I wanted to see how far I could go in this industry just copying/pasting things. Things spiraled out of control as I gained a following and got hired by IGN. I'm extremely sorry for all the trouble I've caused."

 Now you all saw me post this. If in a few days he gains wind of this post and comes out with this excuse we got him.
