Coming to the Switch as well.

I was thinking about buying DOOM for the Switch, just so I could play it on the go... that was until I tried playing Fortnite with the Joycons and ugh... The pro controller works okay, but if you also need the controller... what's the point.

Also, games don't seem to go on sale for the Switch. You can get DOOM for the Xbox for like $15 bucks... on the Switch? $50 bucks... for a lesser version.

It just got added to Game Pass, so technically, $10 :p

God the texture quality in that video isn't up to my PC standards and I'm not even rocking an amazing PC. I have a good one, but not like some. You know who you are, and me too soon enough.

That said, I CAN NOT WAIT FOR THIS GAME! I know I will have too, but it's up there as in most wanted for sure! Looks like they have taken what was great and are going to give us more. I hope this isn't DLC or an Add on for Doom. I hope it's a new Game w/Campaign {screw Multi-player}, the last one {DOOM} had so much reputability. Had an over 30 hour campaign easily if your looking for all the hidden stuff, etc. I just love what Doom gave me, and I want a second helping please!

Not sure why some are not keen on multiplayer. I know the last game's didn't impress a lot of people, but given the proper time and care I think it could be great. The original Doom was one of the early pioneers for FPS multiplayer after all.

I haven't gotten that far, but playing on the available hard mode and it feels like my shotgun is a horrible peashooter.

FWIW, I didn’t really enjoy the game starting on hard. Not because it was so tough per se, but because I was constantly running out of ammo and a shooter like Doom without ammo is boring. I dropped it down to normal after coming back to it about a year later and had a lot more fun. After you get enough upgrades so that ammo isn’t as much of a problem, going back to hard would be fine.

Just a thought.

I've always been kind of a masochist with higher difficulties (but not impossible) with gaming.  I'm getting used to some of the gunplay, but I really need to work on my aiming, which does throw me off a bit.

Do you keep your upgrades when you start a new game?
