Jason Posted March 10, 2021 Posted March 10, 2021 Elizabeth Banks to direct ‘Cocaine Bear’ movie about a real-life bear that ate 70 pounds of cocaine Quote
Bacon Posted March 10, 2021 Posted March 10, 2021 I'll watch it if it is Jason Statham in a bear suit. This: plus this plus this Quote
ort Posted March 10, 2021 Posted March 10, 2021 Yet ANOTHER movie about a bear eating 70 pounds of cocaine? Why can't Hollywood come up with any new ideas? Quote
Keyser_Soze Posted December 1, 2022 Posted December 1, 2022 Quote Inspired by the 1985 true story of a drug runner's plane crash, missing cocaine, and the black bear that ate it, this wild dark comedy finds an oddball group of cops, criminals, tourists and teens converging in a Georgia forest where a 500- pound apex predator has ingested a staggering amount of cocaine and gone on a coke-fueled rampage for more blow … and blood. 2 1 1 Quote

Derek Posted December 1, 2022 Posted December 1, 2022 Oh, man. I've been waiting for a movie like this since 'The Revenant'. That bear scene left me wanting more. Actually it left me depressed and emotionally exhausted, BUT this looks to be all of the fun in that scene and none of the sadness! 1 Quote
Bloodporne Posted December 1, 2022 Posted December 1, 2022 I hope they trained a real bear to do blow for this movie. Quote

BloodyHell Posted December 2, 2022 Posted December 2, 2022 Cocaine Bear: The True Story Behind the Ultimate Party Animal WWW.BACKPACKER.COM Georgia’s most infamous bruin—and the true-crime saga around him—is getting the Hollywood treatment in a new Elizabeth Banks-produced film. But the real tale is almost too wild... the actual story. The bear died almost immediately, but his stomach was definitely full of blow. Quote
silentbob Posted December 2, 2022 Posted December 2, 2022 This has Lake Placid vibes going for me, and I liked that movie. This looks like a fun romp and could be even better when I get a little other of mother nature’s herbs in me. Quote
SoberChef Posted December 2, 2022 Posted December 2, 2022 Watched the trailer and immediately thought of this being something on "USA: Up All Night"!! 🤣🤣🤣 That said however, I wouldn't be opposed to watching it. Quote

Pitch Perfect 2 was a pretty solid debut, but I didn't see her Charlie's Angels reboot (though I heard divisive things, hard to parse from just people hating on women-led films online), how was that? Either way, this looks great. Quote

Either way, this looks great. I think Charlie’s issues are almost 100% the script. Just not good enough. But also, it’s not like a second time *female* director can be too picky when given the chance to direct a feature in Hollywood. Quote
