Terrorist Kyle Rittenhouse acquitted on all counts

Recommended Posts

I thing he’ll walk but I also think people overestimate the right’s ability to care long term.  The same people that were making that high school kids who got his smirk all over CNN for that incident with the Native American probably couldn’t tell you his name at this point.  The moment this kid is out of the news there will be a new outrage to get excited about and this chud will just fade away.

Have you ever been in the Fox News comments section? Any article on protests/riots are 50% people fantasizing about gunning down liberals and minorities.

How serious are most of these people? Probably not very, but are there a couple dozen people out there who are nuts enough to do it? Probably...

Gov. Ron DeSantis signed Florida’s controversial “anti-riot” bill into law on Monday, vastly increasing law enforcement’s powers to crack down on civil unrest.

The law enhances charges for people arrested at protests and prohibits the destruction of historic memorials.

The leaps in logic to that suggest a Rittenhouse aquittal in this case somehow enables people to shoot others at peaceful protests is baffling.

Exactly, if you want to rittenhouse someone then a peaceful protest makes no sense. What you would want to do is find a local spot where a bunch of proud boys hang out and then go up and call them all a bit fancy then wait for your moment.

On Monday, the governor signed the bill into law — albeit with some changes. The state won't grant immunity to drivers who run over protesters blocking traffic, as originally proposed. Protest organizers will no longer face racketeering charges if a demonstration turns violent.

Drivers can sorta-kinda still hit protesters with their cars
A driver won't have immunity against prosecution for hitting a protester with their car, but they have some level of civil protection. If a driver feels threatened by a protester and runs them over, the law provides them with some defense mechanisms if they are sued.

The law, which goes into effect immediately, grants civil legal immunity to people who drive through protesters blocking a road,

this is true, but only because in several states you can now hit protester with your car and have a valid legal defense

The Oklahoma law covers both criminal and civil immunity.

Quote

A motor vehicle operator who unintentionally causes injury or death to an individual shall not be criminally or civilly liable for the injury or death, if:

1. The injury or death of the individual occurred while the motor vehicle operator was fleeing from a riot, as defined in Section 1311 of Title 21 of the Oklahoma Statutes, under a reasonable belief that fleeing was necessary to protect the motor vehicle operator from serious injury or death; and 2. The motor vehicle operator exercised due care at the time of the death or injury.

People write lots of things in comment sections.  They're even worse than twitter.

The evidence shown in this case demonstrate that what happened in this case is very different than someone showing up at a peaceful protest and opening fire.

To be fair, these are likely the same people that claim they would go full John McClain if a mass shooting started in their vicinity.  Pretty sure that wouldn't be the case.

Yep.

"I 'feared for my life' and tried to get away" is the issue, not what you saw in Charlottesville where Heather Heyer was murdered.

Weird then that the board continues to describe these laws as though it legalizes murders like Heyer’s.

You can post whatever you want.

Do they have any more credibility than Tucker Carlson or the Daily Wire?
