Ok a few days behind but that bullet spread is horrendous. I remember the first time in the beta and I know I had shots on people. I had them dead to rights and nothing seem to really hit back then either. I really haven’t enjoyed a good Battlefield game (console only) since Bad Company 2. Listen to the people and give me, I mean us, more of that next time. It was a lighthearted, funny and ton of fun playing. Plus I loved using my sniper in multiplayer and mowing down trees to get to someone hiding behind them. Plus crouching and sniping in crumbled buildings was great to do too.

Yes you can.

Also who knew in the year 2042 the most dangerous vehicle is a hovercraft. They are so fast, well armed with an MG on each side and a vulcan cannon, and well armoured enough to survive about 3-4 infantry at rockets.

Edit: I did have a chef's kiss moment where I fired a rocket at one attempting to flee and hit it killing the 3 guys in it.

In one game I was driving the hovercraft through buildings that it had absolutely no business fitting in. The people manning the guns were just laying waste to every enemy. Felt good... but broken.

Battlefield 2042 brings the sandbox back to the series in bold and controversial ways. The new Specialist system might seem like sacrilege at first, but it opens up gameplay opportunities that weren't possible in previous titles. The massive, well-designed maps offer plenty of room for experimentation and emergent stories, and the modes are a blast. And that's just All-Out Warfare. Between that, Hazard Zone, and the expansive Battlefield Portal, Battlefield 2042 has something for everyone, without feeling like it's stretched too thin. It's a true evolution of the series, one that pushes back against a stagnation that threatened the series' future. It won't be for everyone, but for players who crave imagination and fun from their Battlefields, it will give them everything that they crave and more.

All in all, these are minor points to one of the best Battlefields we’ve had in a while. It’s rekindled my excitement for the series for sure. With new modes like Hazard Zone and the ability to play old games like Bad Company 2 remastered, the game is full of content, even without single-player. If you’ve been thinking of diving into BF, whether it is your return or a first in the series, Battlefield 2042 might be exactly what you were looking for.

Full of worthwhile multiplayer content, Battlefield 2042 brings the long-running shooter franchise to new heights.

Overall, Battlefield 2042 is a complete package of a first-person shooter that many players will enjoy playing it. Thanks to the Portal mode, the game never disappoints you in delivering diverse game modes, and Hazard Zone is a new option to put more hours into Battlefield, especially for pro players.

Almost twenty hours of having war on Battlefield 2042, divided between the open beta sessions at the beginning of October and the last three days of full-immersion with the final version, were certainly enlightening and allowed me to deepen many aspects related to both the content and the gameplay mechanics. However, we thought it appropriate to take a few more days before giving a final judgment on the DICE shooter, mainly to check the tightness of the servers and better frame the portal mode editor.

The Games Machine - Italian - 9 / 10

Battlefield 2042 is a brave new chapter in the history of the series, full of interesting elements and very well done in many respects. Between the evolution of total warfare, the addition of Hazard Zone and the innovative Portal editor, DICE has done things big, and big is the passion that lies behind this new, monumental shooter.

Twinfinite - 4.5 / 5

Overall, Battlefield 2042 is an excellent effort and filled with a ton of competitive multiplayer content at launch with much more planned in the near future. There are some technical issues such as respawns and visual bugs to sort out, and some game modes and specialists might need some tweaks, but DICE is off to a great start and Battlefield 2042 should likely be relevant and popular for years to come.

Perhaps because of the sudden enlightenment of EA and DICE, or because the players' voices are getting louder, this time Battlefield 2042 has surprised me far more than disappointed.

It's not without its issues, but Battlefield 2042 is off to a fantastic start for DICE's beloved series. All-Out Warfare modes are immersive, Hazard Zone is enjoyable while Battlefield Portal steals the show. There's a lot to love here, and I'm excited to see where the game goes.

Hobby Consolas - Spanish - 84 / 100

‎Battlefield 2042 dispenses with the campaign and sticks to what it does best: a deep and very fun multiplayer mode. The figure of 128 players (on PC and next gen) ensures the most spectacular battles of the saga, and we love the winks of Battlefield Portal to the previous installments. The analyzed version had some minor bugs.‎

Battlefield 2042 feels like a game made specifically for Battlefield fans. Multiplayer is fast-paced and chaotic, and while new modes like Hazard Zone and Portal are a mixed bag, they provide an excellent foundation for the game to build on going forward.

If it wasn’t for a few poorly designed 2042 maps, combat balancing issues, and performance concerns, Battlefield 2042 might be the best in the franchise

Gameblog - French - 8 / 10

The title being keen to expand via its future Battlepass, it will be necessary to judge the content in the long term to see whether or not it is up to the task. But as it stands, we are facing a Battlefield of high quality, and worthy of the name.

Hey Poor Player - 4 / 5

While not all of the features Battlefield 2042 introduces are a hit, and the lack of a single-player component is a little disappointing, the game still manages to deliver the same spectacular skirmishes fans of the series crave with its explosive 128-player conflicts and satisfying selection of near-future weaponry and gadgets. Add to that the impressive Portal Mode, which has the potential to keep a steady stream of community-created content flowing, and Battlefield 2042 could very well keep your itchy trigger finger soothed for the foreseeable future.

Whether you’re a longtime fan of the franchise looking to dominate the leaderboards or a greenhorn ready for your first tour of duty, Battlefield 2042 delivers something worth fighting for.

As it stands now, Battlefield 2042 is a formidable and enjoyable shooter that once again delivers on the series promise of peerless open world combat theatre in a way that no other series or franchise has managed to match. It's just a shame that while Battlefield 2042 looks to the future for its setting, so too must players for the short-term as EA and DICE scramble to fix what could potentially be the best Battlefield in years.

It’s clear that DICE have some work to do, but this is an incredibly ambitious and auspicious game. The specialists are my least favorite part of the game, especially with their end-of-round quips, but hopefully they’ll find their place in time. Battlefield 2042 delivers on the core gameplay, and the promise of 128-player combat zones in All-Out Warfare. Hazard Zone is off to a favorable and suspenseful start, but it needs more to draw me back regularly. And with Portal, the most memorable mode, Battlefield 2042 protects its future by preserving its past. This is a triple threat offering of multiplayer mastery DICE is known for, and Battlefield 2042 is only getting started.

Battlefield 2042 is a solid shooter that sadly suffers from a lot of technical problems, including bugs, glitches and a lot of visual inconsistencies. It's a game that has a lot of potential and offers a fun & team-oriented experience, but at the same time it lacks some key futures that, for no apparent reason, just don't exist. It's a hard game to recommend at the moment, but hopefully it will get better with time.

...These quibbles aside, Battlefield 2042 is still a great deal of fun. Purists may not love the specialist system or the lack of a single player story, but those who want huge environments with loads of players should find the chaos of Battlefield 2042 quite enjoyable. Portal is going to give this game even greater life than usual and something I’ve enjoyed sinking my time into so far.

Everyeye.it - Italian - 7.5 / 10

Battlefield 2042 immediately shows enormous potential, fueled by a playful set-up that hosts modes of great depth and really promising innovations. Unfortunately, DICE's latest work is also one of the most disorganized chapters of the series, as spectacular as it is littered with imbalances and lightness, which affect the choral rendering of an offer that still fails to give the best of itself.

Battlefield 2042 is a good game at its core. It's fun, frantic, and as engrossing as Battlefield has ever been. While the launch has been filled with a myriad of technical issues that I failed to mention in this review, those are sure to be ironed out over the next few months. The majority of maps are too large to be impactful, the Specialist system has taken away a core aspect of what makes Battlefield work as a franchise, and the tone of the game is often at odds with itself. But through it all, I'm still enjoying my time blowing things up, screaming and laughing with friends, and making more of those Battlefield memories.

Easy Allies - 7 / 10

Battlefield 2042 continues to amplify the massive scale of its warzones, but de-emphasized teamwork and a shaky launch show that it still needs some more time in the oven.

Lots of things in Battlefield 2042 does not work the way it's supposed to. There's a lot of issues, and that's to be expected, unfortunately. Still, the foundations are solid, and if everything worked well, the final grade would be higher. After a few months of fixes, the game will work better. However, even now, I'm having tons of fun.

By ditching the campaign mode in Battlefield 2042, EA Dice has made the game a tiny bit more confusing and difficult for new players trying to get into the franchise. Veterans and die-hard (pun-intended) lovers of Battlefield will love it for the way it stays true to the gameplay of the older titles. The chaos of the 128-strong lobby isn't something I look forward to whenever I start the game, and I feel that may be true for most players.

Battlefield 2042 is a strong foundation for future expansion. DICE's multiplayer-only FPS has scale and spectacle, but there are elements in need of careful refinement and optimization.

When Battlefield 2042 hits the mark with its enormous, gorgeous, destructible maps in All-Out Warfare, it’s good, but it sometimes tends to crack under the weight of its own massive scale.

Generación Xbox - Spanish - 7 / 10

‎Although the game at the controls works very well and I am sure that lovers of the saga will love it, the enormous lack of content with which the launch game has arrived cannot be overlooked, something that is more bloody if we consider that the campaign mode was abandoned to make the multiplayer a better and more complete experience. In addition, other patchable elements such as a respawn that does not work as it should or the excessive ease of ordering vehicles make it tedious and desperate at times, especially for new players. For all this I have nothing left but to recommend right now this Battlefield 2042 only for the most diehard fans of the saga, and wait to see how the game evolves in the coming months.‎

Battlefield 2042 is a fun game to play, but its base game content will leave you wanting. Thankfully, Battlefield Portal is there to pick up the slack and does so splendidly. There’s still some gas left in Battlefield’s tank.

IGN - 7 / 10

Battlefield 2042's highpoint is its powerful Portal mode, which lets you relive the series' past glories and tweak them to your liking. Its current batch of modes is overstuffed with players and utter chaos, though Hazard Zone scales things down in an interesting, high-stakes way.

MondoXbox - Italian - 7 / 10

Battlefield 2042 had all the right cards to offer an incredible experience - huge maps, more players (bots included), destructive weather events and the promising Portal mode. It is, however, unfortunately incomplete due to technical glitches, missing features and senseless design choices. The potential to become one of the best episodes of the saga is there, but it will take time and many corrective updates.

Battlefield 2042 has a lot of problems. From its optimization, questionable design, and various bugs, it is clear that this game was not completely ready to be released. It needs some patches for sure, but Battlefield 2042 is by no means a lost cause.

This near-future sequel has all the components it needs to become a classic entry in the multiplayer series, but it feels like 2042 is many updates away from reaching its full potential.

Pure Xbox - 7 / 10

Battlefield 2042 is a bit of a mixed bag as things stand right now with the excellent Portal mode overshadowing almost everything else on offer. The futuristic large-scale battles are spectacular stuff, for sure, but it's all a little disjointed so far with the all-new Specialists underlining a feeling that solo soldiering has somehow taken precedent over the series' signature teamwork. There's still plenty to enjoy in this meaty package for early adopters, and we've no doubt DICE will be busy improving things as the months roll on but, outside of a mode that celebrates the series' history more than it embraces what's new in this latest entry, what's here struggles to feel absolutely essential at launch.

Battlefield 2042 has everything you want as a Battlefield fan: destruction, levolution, and carnage. But while it’s fun to play, it is clear that Battlefield 2042 is DICE’s most ambitious Battlefield yet - and it hasn’t quite come off in the way many were expecting.

Battlefield 2042 is DICE’s most average Battlefield yet, one that despite boasting two new modes to discover in Hazard Zone and Battlefield Portal, clearly forgot about the core of the experience. I wouldn’t say that Battlefield 2042 is the worst iteration in this series because it does add some new gameplay and brings back elements like complete loadout customization from previous iterations. But as of right now, a lot of the gameplay is skewed, and the weapons, attachments, and vehicles don’t really feel like they work as they should. As a triple-A game, I expect better.

CGMagazine - 6 / 10

Battlefield 2042 is a fun enough time, but DICE needs to work hard if it wants to take the unrefined ideas found here and turn it into something that feels like a worthy successor to the Battlefield legacy.

Battlefield 2042 feels like it could become a cool game, but it’s tantalizingly out of reach today. There’s enough promise with the satisfying-when-it-works gunplay, large-scale chaos (that’s starting to feel more controlled over time), and fantastic legacy Battlefield content in Portal that I’ll stick around for a bit. It didn’t have to be this way, though.

GameByte - 6 / 10

Quote

Battlefield 2042 has disappointed me. I think it builds upon the older games but in a much more boring way. The maps are relentlessly mundane. They’re all flat ground with high concrete structures. You don’t get those claustrophobic choke points that Battlefield 1 had, or the creative problem solving that came from clever map design in Battlefield 4. The maps in 2042 just all feel the same, and I’m not keen on them at all.

Battlefield 2042 wants so many things that it succeeds at almost none of them. There's a good game buried beneath it all, but you'll wade through a lot of sludge to get there.

GamesFinest - German - 6 / 10

Battlefield 2042 is currently at best a small, unhealthy snack for on the go, which you absolutely had to buy, but always in the knowledge that it never really takes place nor tastes particularly good. The three big game modes offer a colorful potpourri with something for every type of player, but none of the concepts is really mature. Long-term motivation is lacking shortly after release: The lack of a checkout system seems immature in places, numerous bugs slow down the flow of the game, and missing scoreboards and ranked matches take even more tension out of the gameplay loop. Battlefield 2042 is so trimmed for entertaining fun that it completely loses sight of its possibilities. The focus is clearly on more chaos and less game depth, more trends and less team play, new superlatives but unfortunately less Battlefield. Battlefield 2042 is quick fun for a round in between, but will have a hard time holding its own on the highly competitive shooter market.

Battlefield 2042 has a very solid foundation, but the game needs a few decent patches that will not only expand the content (weapons, gadgets), but also take care of removing bugs – the latter can now have a very negative impact on the experience.

PSX Brasil - Portuguese - 60 / 100

Not even a good gunplay and the excellent Portal mode can save Battlefield 2042 from being a mediocre experience. The various additions to the game, such as specialists and huge scope for matches, have no effect and create a disastrous, tiring experience and an insult to the franchise's history.

Push Square - 6 / 10

Battlefield 2042 is disjointed and incomplete at launch, but it's impossible to deny it still has that magic spark that made past entries thrive. There aren't enough maps and one too many bugs and glitches get in the way of the fun. However, with the excellent Portal mode to bolster it, Battlefield 2042 does just enough to get us on board. While we wish so many things were better, nothing else does it quite like Battlefield.

With exaggeratedly huge maps dominated by boredom and randomness, the absence of key features such as voice chat and server browser, and the sudden abandonment of the story phase without providing enough content to make such a move. At the same time, the game provides the real-life atmosphere that the series has long been known for, and portal is the most commendable addition as it opens the door to huge future content with the participation of the players themselves.

TheSixthAxis - 6 / 10

There's a good game to be found within the Battlefield 2042 and fun to be had as the spectacle of Battlefield's signature gameplay is taken to new, more expansive heights, but it's marred by a handful of unsuccessful gameplay design changes, hurriedly implemented features and bugs at launch.

Right now, Battlefield 2042 is offering plenty of new features and gameplay elements that will benefit the series’ veteran players, although I’m not sure if there is enough there to hold the attention of players that don’t already have a vested interest in it, at least while they wait for the various problems to be fixed. That really is a shame because even though the persistent issues are frustrating, unnecessary, and annoying, underneath it all is a game that is brimming with potential, and one that I’m enjoying much of my time with — combat is tense, challenging, and unpredictable, and it offers the very best Battlefield experience in recent years... when it hits right.

Disjointed mess of a game „Battlefield 2042” is a latest entry in a franchise known for it’s crucial paradox: massive scale gels with tight, well-paced battle encounters.   Except it doesn’t gel this time around. It’s more like Werner Herzog movie: you trek tirelessly through the mountains, forests and rivers and then get shot in the head by some chilled out dude with a sniper rifle. As Herzog would put it: „This universe is monstrously indifferent to the presence of man”.

Battlefield 2042 isn't just a lackluster Battlefield game, it's a bad FPS in general. It's an overcorrect after Battlefield 5's marketing was criticized for its "out-there" CGI trailers. It isn't clear what Battlefield 2042 is, or even what it wants to be, beyond a bland step back. One can hope for meaningful content updates later down the line, but the ship is sinking before even leaving port.

While I did enjoy quite a lot of my time in Battlefield 2042 (especially in the new Hazard Zone mode), there are a mix of gameplay, technical, and functionality issues of varying severity that really hamper the experience. This game is somewhat recommendable to Battlefield fans and those with a general interest in military-style shooters, but there is a strong chance that the game’s current flaws are going to really limit the potential for many. Because of this, if you’re considering this game, you may want to wait for a patch or two before you deploy to the battlefield.

We loved Battlefield because it wasn’t Call of Duty or Counter-Strike or Fortnite or Apex or any other popular shooter. This mismanaged project clearly needed more time in the oven and a cohesive design that works to Battlefield’s strengths rather than a game attempting to be multiple things to multiple audiences. In a year where so many releases have been marred by a lack of polish and bugs, Battlefield 2042 may be the biggest offender.

Battlefield 2042 definitely isn't the Battlefield to rule all Battlefields, quite the contrary. The newest shooter from DICE fails to capture what made past Battlefield titles successful and unique. Add to that a myriad of problems that ruin the entire experience and you have a recipe for disaster. Luckily there is still Battlefield Portal which gives us the tools to create a Battlefield that we want. There is still a lot of potential for the future, but right now Battlefield 2042 isn't in a good state.

Despite trying to present itself as an advancement of the series, Battlefield 2042 instead feels like a severe dumbing-down. The Battlefield Portal offers some familiar fun, but it's just not enough to warrant buying the game.

Battlefield 2042 felt like an eternity away, but now it’s only a little over one week from release. After spending three days with other media types playing the next giant war game, I can finally say it’s ambitious but isn’t able to match the ambition so far. I say so far because while we did play online with our group and while we did have at least 4 hours with each mode (some of us had six with Breakthrough), that’s not enough to properly assess modes like Hazard Zone and Portal. I also don’t know if they’re going to start the battle pass during the early access period. So for now, check out my review-in-progress.

In a world where developers are getting used to working from home and games are being pushed back due to the global pandemic, EA decided that Battlefield 2042 was ready for this year. It’s not. More time is needed to fix a lot of the problems, but even then that might not be enough to save it from being one of the most lacklustre Battlefield titles yet.

The launch has been something of a mess all around, from the removal of one of the Specialist’s abilities (an impossible-to-take-out shield) through to a gadget that caused server issues like rubber-banding. Both of these are back in the game, yet the shield can still fully absorb the imposing force of a tank shell. For a series that has always been about fostering a refined sandbox with clear objectives creating some truly spectacular moments, the tank shell sending the shielded player flying makes more sense (the physicality of Battlefield V would have allowed for such a trick). I could list a dozen more examples and ‘what if’ scenarios, but it ultimately circles back to one singular point. Battlefield 2042 is a heartbreaking disappointment.

Battlefield 2042 is a pretty huge disappointment. And it's hard to think if there's was a way to make things even worse. It would be great if instead of this game EA would just make a full re-release of Bad Company 2 and Battlefield 3 - the consoles userbase would surely appreciatethe the move.

I don't think there's a situation so bleak they wouldn't try to render in service of people-pleasing and making sales climb higher. Battlefield 2042 represents the pinnacle of a feedback loop that told its creators that bigger is always better. Now that we're here, I'm sure we were never right to think that and I don't think we're stepping back from it anytime soon.

If you're looking to enjoy the next Battlefield title, turn back now. With the next patch not slated to arrive for another month, and the next content update to release some time after that, it's going to be a while before 2042 can earn the right to be called a true Battlefield game. It's best to wait until the smoke clears and DICE fixes any major bugs (maybe even wait for it to go on discount) before spending $70 on this game.

Screen Rant - 2 / 5 stars

It's not as unsalvageable as Battlefield 5, but it's still hard to imagine this evolving into the definitive Battlefield game that DICE wants it to be. There is fleeting fun to be had here, but it's often spoiled by the game's blatant shortcomings. The maps are a slog, gunplay is bogged down by puzzling design choices, and there's no shortage of bugs that actively require the player to restart the entire game. It's a far cry from the 10-year-old Battlefield 3 and as it continues to age, the series strays further away from those glory days with no road to redemption in sight.

Unfortunately, this goes deeper than a rocky launch. It’s hard not to be disappointed with this 2042 offering. You know when the devs said this is a game to “celebrate Battlefield”? They’ve stripped away some of the most fundamental elements of the series and added tornados and Wingsuits to make up for it. It’s Marketing 101. Explosions, tornados, and swooping helicopters look great. One day, they probably will be great. DICE is one of the best when it comes to post-launch patches - for better and for worse. But if you’re on the fence about buying Battlefield 2042, I would just wait.

Though that's an exaggeration (if a slight one), allowing you to kit out any character you want with whatever equipment naturally tilts combat from decisive to unwieldy. Players can access whatever tools necessary for self-sufficiency or going off solo, guns blazing. Don't expect to get many revives from your teammates even when medics are around. Meanwhile, this half-exploit system exposes several character gimmicks as same-y, underwhelming, or borderline useless-this is absolutely a game that plays favorites. Combined with the level design, it becomes painfully clear how disorganized and thoughtless the bulk of 2042's systems really are.

There are some neat new toys while Portal delivers the series at its best, but 2042 launches as the weakest Battlefield in some time.

One More Game - Wait

Quote

Battlefield 2042 feels like a game that could have used another delay to position itself as something ready for the spotlight. Instead, it released with a number of annoying bugs that compounded into problems that led the community to really rail on the game. Despite these bugs being something that can be fixed by a number of patches, Battlefield 2042 really needed to make a strong first impression seeing the tight Q4 FPS landscape.

There’s still nothing quite like being in the middle of a massive firefight with dozens of players, while jets strafe the ground around you, and a tank rumbles over a hilltop only 50 feet away. DICE has been in search of that old Battlefield magic for more than a decade, and Battlefield 2042 comes extremely close. But 2042, at least so far, rarely manages to be much more than that. It doesn’t feel like a real step forward for the franchise, or a meaningful update on a 20-year old formula. As of now, I’m still waiting for that next big leap.

Battlefield 2042 follows a different path. Instead of evolving the traditional and beloved recipe of the series, this time it borrows elements from other franchises, such as Call of Duty and Rainbow Six Siege. Many players will like the result and others will surely be left disappointed. The only certain thing is that the title needed more development time for any of its virtues to shine, as there are important technical issues, problems with the overall balance and some strange design flaws that DICE will definitely have to fix in future updates.

Battlefield 2042 feels like the most complete Battlefield game yet, mainly thanks to the incredible depth provided by Battlefield Portal and the brand new Hazard Mode, even though it is unclear whether it'll be enough to draw flocks of new players to the franchise.

  • Commissar SFLUFAN changed the title to Battlefield 2042 (19 November 2021) - Information Thread, update: initial reviews from OpenCritic posted

I spent the last 2 hours forcing myself to play conquest on the new maps. Just trying to make sure I'm not missing anything obvious or something that would let me have more fun. My head seriously feels so exhausted now. The game fucking sucks and I don't know what they could do to fix it. It's too many people and the levels are too big. Death after death after death...You can die so many different ways at any moment, you just have to make up your own fun as you go. The one level called Manifest is ridiculous with shipping containers everywhere. You never know what angle, side, or height an enemy is coming from. Everytime you don't have a sniper rifle, you need one. Everytime you have an assault rifle, you wish you had a sniper rifle. The rocket launcher reloads so god awfully slow.  One game I played on Hourglass I believe, 2 players were either cheating or they were just God Tier in the jets. Tried flying 6 different times. Within literal seconds of spawning, it was instant lock on, missiles incoming. Immediately after flares I would get blown up. Played out that way everytime.

If I could get a refund on PS5 I would take one in a heartbeat.

Switch to the SMGs and turn off cross play the PC players will pwn you. The starting ARs are terrible without attachments. I am level 35 and I suffered grinding the M5 and AK to usable states. The 2 higher tier assault rifles seem good though I only hace the SFAR. Technically the ARs should win at mid rsnge vs a SMG but the recoil is so soft on SMGs you end up landing more hits. Attachments are burst fire is essential to AR use. Well the AK and M5. SFAR is good without attachments and just gets better with them. Assuming I keep having problems at work I should hit level 40 tomorrow and get the lvl 40 russian ar.

Edit: The US smg is good but the PP28 is OP switch to it asap.

@Zaku3I'll have to try out the smg's. Most of my engagements tend to take place at assault rifle range so I was floating between them, marksman, and sniper. I was really only feeling proficient with the sniper.

the consensus is that SMGs are better at range than ARs in this game. 🤦🏼‍♂️

And for xbox, there is no in-game way to disable cross-play. You have to do it at the system level, which then disables is for every game.

A friend of mine that plays on PC mentioned that the cheat hacks that worked on the previous BF work on this and that a lot of PC players are using aim bot. I played a few games last night and that would explain a lot of weird deaths I had.

if youre playing on console there is no aim assist. Or if there is, is so little, that it doesnt make a difference.

This is a pretty even-handed review (despite the title) that SPECIFICALLY calls out Manifest as being perhaps the worst map in the history of the series:

So if you are playing cross play on console people on PC can't use any of the cheat hacks?

No they definitely can. What im saying is even without PC cheaters.. the game has no aim-assist for controller, so youre going to get stomped by PC players no matter what.

That makes sense. I usually don't play with aim assist anyway. But it's a bummer that hacks are running rampant before it's official launch.

And yes the shipment container level sucks. I also played that snow level which is huge. Probably too big for its own good. It makes picking Sundance the wing suit specialist a must.

What do you mean at the system level?

Don't have one but I think they mean going into the settings menu for you xbox and turning off crossplay. It removes it for all games that support it so if you want it for one game you have to turn it back on. Atleast that is my reading based on posts I have seen elsewhere.

After God knows how long of suffering I finally got the AK to a useable level with attachments. Work fixed my issue so I hope by the Sat or tomorrow night I hit rank 40.

Yeah. As much as near future could have a lot of potential for cool moments in a campaign, DICE just doesn't know how to make a good, fun campaign. I thought Battlefront II would have been the game to finally have them let their imaginations fly, and create a really good campaign, but even that sucked. Best to focus on the multiplayer.

The only exception I'll take for them doing another campaign in Battlefield is if and when they finally do Bad Company 3 (which given the response to this game might be next to win some favour with the fans).
