Chairslinger
One of the complaints the RNC has about the debates is basically that the meany heads wouldn't allow Trump to infect Biden with the virus. Seriously. That whole "no changes to set rules" is in response to the committee not allowing Trump to show up to the second debate and cough in Biden's face. He made himself look like an idiot, and she won by default, not by doing anything special.. People watched to see a show, and they got it from him. I doubt most people remember much about Hillary from those debates.
Ghost_MH
Anyone remember that story from earlier this year about surveillance video showing a Member of Oregon's House allowing protestors into the building which leads to a short fight with cops? Oregon Republicans call on GOP state lawmaker to resign after video shows him appearing to tell protesters how to enter closed state Capitol WWW.CNN.COM Republican members of Oregon's House of Representatives have called on an embattled member of their caucus to resign after newly surfaced video showed him appearing to give protesters insights...

CitizenVectron
What did Jeet Heer say a month ago? Something like 'There have been no consequences for their actions, so this only has one logical conclusion." The GOP have faced no consequences for anything they've done (incite violence, inspire/fan conspiracy theories, abuse all the existing rules to their limits—and beyond), so they will continue to break the norms until the only thing in their way are the actual rules...and by then, they will break them too. I've honestly had students in college tell me something batshit crazy and then highlight it with "well, that's just my opinion, so perhaps we should agree to disagree". This has been on factual information that I can then give them numerous academic and national data that points to the complete opposite, and they just stare at me like I spoke in Korean before going back to batshit craziness. I completely understand why a lot of professors go into autopilot for the last twenty years of their careers and avoid any communication that isn't directly from the textbook because so many nutcases have filtered into their classes over the years.
