Of course not, France has some extremely far left politicians compared to the US, its also not a guarantee either of these 2 make the second round, last time around 4 candidates were within 5 points of each other in the first round, Macron's popularity has taken a beating, so its not crazy to think the dem socialist party or the republicans (center right in france) reap the benefits of his centrist party collapsing and make the second round.

France is not a far left leaning country. They aren't a clusterfuck the way we are, the country is very diverse, they already have healthcare. That stuff is just built in. A far right or far left politician in france has no great sway over the direction of the country.
