I really dislike soft mattresses. I had a soft mattress, it killed me back and my posture. Thought my back was always sore from running/bjj, but it was the soft mattress. It's a firm latex foam mattress with a softer inch or two on top. So it feels comfortable but it's not soft at all, and has lots of support.
