If it helps any, most women aren't that complicated. The equation is simple: they want an everything man. Just be funny, good looking, intelligent, lots of hobbies/interests, kind, gregarious, magnanimous, interested in what they have to say, really listen, etc. and most will give you plenty of attention. Liking going out, taking them out, traveling, and doing actual things like concerts, etc. helps immensely as well. You have to forge the man they want you to be. Not easy, but if you commit yourself to the discipline, it'll work. Plus, you're improving yourself anyway, so it's a net gain for everyone involved. I mean, it's Covid right now, so that won't work, but when it's over, yeah, that's what I did anyway.

The key to all of this is authenticity though. You have to be authentic. Women hate if you're just selling yourself as a certain kind of person just to sleep with them. If you actually change yourself to be these things, and it's your actual, authentic self, then you're set.

Be authentic.

Yet. The key word is you have no charisma or confidence yet. These are traits you can habituate, that you can cultivate, that you first emulate until it becomes a part of you. "Fake it until you make it", basically. You basically have to add traits/characteristics to yourself through mental discipline until it becomes second nature. I don't want to derail things in this thread further either, but this is all do-able/possible! Not easy, but certainly can be done (doubly difficult I admit if you have mental health issues, etc. of course, but still can be done). Have you considered this? :)

Also: if QAnon folks are waiting for March 4 now, I look forward to seeing when the goal posts shift again to yet another new date after nothing happens. Again.

But fake it.

It's a shame that this country is filled with so many angry and stupid people that Trump will even be absolved of a direct attack on our democracy. :( I have no doubt that many Republican senators realize Trump's culpability, but they know they can get away with letting him off the hook to score points with the idiots.

Wow, you two are dense. Be authentic, but obviously change yourself into the person you want to be. Both can be true at the same time. How do you think anyone changes themselves? Over time. The point is to have those changes feel and be authentic for yourself, not just to get into a girl's pants. I was going to add this explanation in originally because I figured people would take this message, but I was hoping for more intelligence. Not this time I guess. I mean, really? That's how you guys took that? I could have quoted Aristotle and said: “Excellence is an art won by training and habituation. We do not act rightly because we have virtue or excellence, but we rather have those because we have acted rightly. We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, then, is not an act but a habit” but "fake it until you make it" seemed easier to understand for people. Would "practice makes perfect" be better? I'm trying to help him and you undermine that by completely going for the obvious point I'm not making, rather than the more helpful one I clearly am making.

But, sure. Let's go with your version.

Republicans never have to pay consequences for anything. It's insane.

I mean, this is a misleading post. Those are grouse, a delicious bird you can hunt in almost every state and province. I have about 15 in my freezer, they make delicious soup. While the naming is absurd, millions of people put their hunting kills online. The post makes it seem like he just killed some birds for fun, and using twitter to fire up the ignorant, regardless of political leaning, is part (yes, I know there are many others, and the right is far worst) of the reason we're so divided.

If I had one wish from a genie, it would be the  end of social media forever.

But wouldn't you rather drink Famous Grouse instead of eating a regular grouse?

When the pandemic is over, I may have to check that out. I decided I wouldn't drink during the pandemic because i know how easy it could become a serious problem.

Almost everyone in my family are alcoholics. My mom, my uncles and one aunt, cousins, my grandfather, though he's been sober since I was a child. So, im very careful about how often and how much I drink.

But I do like scotch, so ill try to remember it.

Even though trump is still going to get off after all of this, I'm still glad this was all done for the dems to pretty much lay bare everything and included new stuff we hadn't seen before. It's astonishing how close we were to a representative getting killed.

I agree it needed to be done, but at the same time, I think it only galvanized the right.

I fully expect dems to lose both chambers in no time, and the presidency in 24.

Everything Dems do will 'galvanize' the right. Fix Obamacare? Galvanized. Raise minimum wage? Galvanized. Say something scientific? Galvanized.

Who fucking cares at this point.

We'll care when they are blocking everything in two years when they win again.

The thing is, the Democrats stand a better chance of winning if they actually do things. If the Dems do nothing (in order to appease the GOP and not "galvanize" right-wing chuds), then the GOP will win mid-terms. If the Democrats do stuff and right-wing chuds are galavanized...well, left-wing people will also be galvanized. And if not, at least something got done.

Yeah, sure it is, that's why many in this thread agreed with me. Because it's clearly so much bullshit. Given you haven't explained how it's bullshit but I've explained in steps how what I suggest may help, I'd argue you're just being a contrarian asshole. Given this is off-topic and you've had two chances to respond with something intelligent and substantive and haven't yet, let's let sleeping dogs lie and let this conversation die.

No matter what they do they'll galvanize the right, they call Joe Biden a socialist even though he's the very picture of a moderate neoliberal.  When they don't do anything they go back to guns and abortion, when they do a little bit they call it socialism, so might as well not worry about that.

If they do things to help people, yes.

Look, the impeachment HAD to be done, but its not going to help them. Americans are struggling to get by, businesses are shuttering, and we're focused on this. Its a catch 22, and im not sure it matters, because Trump isn't running again. I'd be surprised if he's alive in 4 years (but I also know we can't count on that). Im more worried about Jordan/Hauley running in 24 than I am Trump.

The only good scenario I can think of is if Graham bit off Trumps cock while choking on it, Trump bleeds to death, and Hauley dies in car crash rushing him to the hospital. But that's unlikely, I doubt Lady G has a gag reflex.

Given Biden's pretty good approval rating so far, his raft of executive orders, and the promise of the $1.9 trillion Covid relief bill passing by the end of the month, I think they are getting things done that are helping people. It's only been 3 weeks! :p

That being said, I do not believe Trump will run in 2024. Apparently he's allegedly enjoying retirement.

Also, @Greatoneshereis correct on the whole “change yourself” thing. I’m not the same person I was five years ago, let alone the same person I was a decade ago.

I cringe when I go through Timehop or Facebook memories and see posts I made a decade ago. Except for the post I made the day Whitney Houston died: “Kevin Costner is a terrible bodyguard.”

I’ll die on the hill of that being a genius joke.
