It's interesting how years ago news outlets always asking how these isis terrorists were radicalized, then suddenly half of the united states was radicalized and no one asked any questions.

we asked questions. The problem was that one of only two majors ruling political parties that already controlled a significant majority of federal and local governments, and their own spin media network, was more than willing to provide them cover and legitimacy.

nobody on the left saw the resurgence of populism and white nationalists ideology and thought “yeah this won’t be a big problem in the near future”.

we saw the inevitability of the capitol raid when facts, irrefutable facts. Not assumptions, estimates, or interpretations, but facts became divisive political weapons. Republicans don’t want to believe facts that counter the narrative they want. GOP and voters.

They’re the ones most surprised by this, because they’ve been lead to believe that only violent, Democracy and law hating groups were antifa and BLM, who burns down every city in a violent range everywhere they protest.

The only thing that has really surprises me about the capitol riot was how few injuries and deaths there were. And that’s just because I assumed capitol police would protect the legislative branch against these rioters with the same over eager enthusiasm as they would a group of disabled Americans trying to pretest in the Capital building.

A rioter who stormed the US Capitol Wednesday wearing a sweatshirt emblazoned with the phrase "Camp Auschwitz" has been identified as Robert Keith Packer of Virginia, according to three sources who spoke with CNN.

EDIT: And, arrested:

I like how they keep saying "security is tightened" - It looks like a god damn warzone!

As I said last week, the USA is about to show force and the power of prosecution. This can never happen again.

Easy access to these buildings was fun while it lasted. Hope y'all visited.

The really shitty part is that fence around the Capitol is probably never going away. The grass next to the Capitol is used as a de facto park by DC residents.

This is how it is in a lot of Capitols. The dumpers outside Trump tower were more security.
