You stay classy, Washington Football organization.

How disappointing (once again) @Slug for you and other Washington fans to have to go through this when you should be feeling pretty good about your team.

We're used to it.  I imagine it's like being a Cowboys fan.  Or a Patriots fan but with much less success.

League sources say the NFL is aware that Snyder has claimed to be tracking owners. But none of the owners or sources would reveal how they learned of Snyder's alleged effort to use private investigators. It's also unclear how many owners are said to have been targeted, though sources say they believe it's at least six. One owner was told by Snyder directly that he "has dirt on Jerry Jones," a team source told ESPN, though the nature of the information was unclear. Another source confirmed that Snyder has told a confidant that he has "a file" on Jones, the Dallas Cowboys owner who has served as Snyder's friend, mentor and longtime firewall of support.

Dan, I hate to break this to you, but Jerry would be more than likely actually proud of whatever is in that file of yours.

In fact, Jerry would go so far as complain that there wasn't enough about him in that file!

Snyder is obviously human garbage but imagine being so stupid as to think you could shame Jerry Jones. Try winning some NFC East games Dan, that's all Jones gives a shit about!

Jerry would gladly take whatever the file says and then tell an even more salacious version of the events depicted in it.

"This file claims that I threw a party with a couple of hookers.  This is a completely inaccurate, damnable lie, and I'm going to correct the record right now!

The party had a dozen hookers and three goats."

Neither the Commanders or Bank of America, which has handled such notable team sales as the purchase of the Los Angeles Clippers by Steve Ballmer, would comment.

Dan Snyder has retained BofA Securities to sell the Washington Commanders, sources tell Forbes.

According to a person familiar with the process, Snyder already has at least four calls from groups interested in buying the team. Snyder and his bankers are exploring all options and a transaction could be for the entire NFL team or a minority stake.

The U.S. attorney's office in the Eastern District of Virginia has opened a criminal investigation into allegations that the Washington Commanders engaged in financial improprieties, two sources familiar with the matter confirmed to ESPN on Wednesday.

The sources said that prosecutors are focused on several areas and that the inquiry was triggered by a letter the House Committee on Oversight and Reform sent to the Federal Trade Commission and several attorneys general in April that alleged deceptive business practices. Attorneys general in Virginia and Washington, D.C., also are investigating allegations of financial impropriety.

Team spokesperson Jean Medina did not immediately comment but provided a statement from attorney John Brownlee of Holland & Knight, who represents the Commanders.
