Those PlayStation Black Friday deals...

Recommended Posts

I just had a flick through and I counted 11 games that I haven’t played yet but still want to :tired:. I don’t know if this is a testament to how many good games have come out in the last three years or how few games I’ve actually bought. Either way, enjoy and I hope you all have some one off work in the next few months to see out the previous generation and welcome the new.

For the PS5 owners - weren’t they including like 10 classic PS4 games for free? I thought I saw something to that effect.

If you have a PS+ subscription, yes. You have to claim every game and don’t get them automatically (just a PSA :sun: ), but you get:

Batman: Arkham Knight

Battlefield 1

Bloodborne

Call of Duty: Black Ops 3

Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy

Days Gone

Detroit: Become Human

Fallout 4

Final Fantasy 15

God of War

Infamous Second Son

Monster Hunter World

Mortal Kombat X

Persona 5

Ratchet and Clank

Resident Evil 7: Biohazard

The Last Guardian

The Last of Us Remastered

Uncharted 4: A Thief's End

Until Dawn

It feels wrong that PS4 owners can’t benefit from that considering many of those games haven’t even made it to PS+ yet, but are certainly in the right catchment.

I *think* they’re all “enhanced” on PS5 in someway (framerate), but, yea, I 100% agree that the collection shouldn’t be restricted to PS5 ownership.

Where do you go to claim these?

Control Ultimate Edition for $20 is tempting. I had bought the regular edition for $20 a month or two ago and haven't played it. Spend the $20 now and wait until they release the PS5 patch. In total I will have spent $40 but with both expansions and the PS5 update it will have been worth it.

I hope this lasts more than a month.  I am doubtful I'll be able to get a console before Christmas.

Fairly certain it's a permanent PS+ Perk going forward.  Kind of like EAs Vault.  Games will probably slowly get added as well.

How is Detroit: Become Human? I’ve never played it, and honestly never payed attention to it.

Have you played other Quantic Dream games like Heavy Rain or Beyond: Two Souls? They're pretty love/hate. I like them, Detroit included, but can't really argue with people who trash that particular style of game (sort of a "cinematic" take on old school adventure games).

It's dumb but it's up to you to decide if it's your kind of dumb. There's a demo for it. You can play it on steam too.

Its on sale right now. And worth it.

Eh, $40 is still too much for me. I'm swamped with open-world games as-is, they'd need to at least drop it to $30, which they probably will by the time my backlog is cleared up enough to try it out.

All are free with my marketplace Steam credit. ;)

I’d rather own them outright anyways with them being so cheap.

I'd rather spend steam credit on things that aren't on game pass. 🤷‍♀️

For extreme cheapskates like me, it’s hard to even know what to spend Steam credit on anymore with EGS and Twitch Prime giveaways being a thing.  Not to mention bundles and Humble Choice.

I figure MS’ (and EA’s) games have less of a chance ending up in those avenues due to Games Pass.

It’s a much better gamble than indies.  Seeing them in GP/Gold/PS+ is usually a sign they’ll be free on EGS before long.
