I see I should continue to not get my hopes up of ever seeing a new Dragons Dogma title.

After watching the Netflix series it made me want another one even more. Luckily I never beat the Dark Arisen expansion so that gives me a reason to revisit the game at some point. I probably won't get to it until sometime next year though.

Only $5 million for RE VR? They are really lowballing their own franchises.

Sony willing to pay $5 million so people on PC can't play RE7 in VR seems like a tremendously stupid waste of Sony's resources. Not like Xbox had VR.

Well $10 million for RE7 and 8 on Stadia too. Just saying they probably could get a lot more out of these deals.

Well if these hackers didn't totally have their priorities out of whack, they'd be demanding a DD sequel instead of millions of dollars.

Really looking forward to RE8 and just slightly related, I've just started Ace Attorney on the DS for the first time. It's been good - though a fair bit of reading and clicking to get through after a long day of work..

It's good shit and is carried by the hilarious characters and crazy twists. The initial cases are going to be pretty standard. In the original game, Case 3 gets more in-depth, and 4 and 5 have more elaborate mysteries surrounding them. I love Case 5 in particular.

Even though most people I see rank the second game below the first and third, Justice for All's final case is possibly the best of the first trilogy.

Oh my goodness that's a sweet list.

Final Fight Remake, are you kidding me? That sounds amazing. One of my favorite games ever.

Yeah I can only HOPE that a Final FIght Remake is a full reinvisioning and not just an update side scrolling brawler with improved graphics like Streets of Rage 4. I played and enjoyed that game a hell of a lot, but I want someone to bring the brawler/beat em up genre into the modern age. Full open world, character creation and customization and a combat system that is visceral/brutal and cinematic. Basically The Raid the video game. Last of Us 2 came pretty close with its combat sytem. Build on that and give me a full game centered around it.

I'm torn. I have the same thing in mind and have wanted a fully fleshed-out 3D version of SoR/FF for ages but at the same time think for some reason that genre is entirely relegated to nostalgia at this point. However...this isn't coming out till '24 apparently so that's a long time in the oven if they're starting on it soon and makes me wonder if it is something 'bigger' than just some lame update.

Hoping for that fleshed-out 3D take, expecting basically the same mechanics with maybe a basic-ass combo system added in that boring 2.5D style Capcom has been doing for Street Fighter since IV.

And I have yet to play TLoU2 but...that sounds enticing.

Last of Us 2 has an absolutely BRUTAL and cinematic melee system that could be fleshed out as the basis for a full game if they wanted. All of the building blocks are there.

Oh??? Get outta here, the first one was pretty basic but I can't say bashing someone in the face with a brick ever got old for me. So that's really cool to hear. I hope they let you fight for longer than 45 second arenas in part 2. That was my big frustration with the first one, I ended up loving the combat actually but it constantly blue-balled me with arenas that were over in like 30 seconds followed by a 2 minute cutscene.

I seriously read that as "Onimusha: New York" and almost threw up thinking it was of that Onimusha 3 bullshit where they time-travel to New York to kick some ass in the Bronx or some nonsense.

I read that as New York too and was going to be like " yo @skillzdadirecta Onimusha coming to NYC!"

The melee system in TLOU 2 is unreal, but it happens very fast and like the first game it's not really a primary combat strategy.  But the animations and the way they blend together is so advanced and unprecedented that the game feels like it's from 5 years into the future.

Yakuza does that.

You're both really selling me here though I do have to wait for my PS5 to arrive at the very least!

Uhh, Yakuza's combat is neither brutal nor cinematic. It's more like comedy combat. It's silly as hell and kind of cheap looking. The actual cinematics that happen during combat are much higher quality, but they're just that: cinematics.

I am sensing I missed Skillz point. Which is my fault cuz I just skimmed his message while bored at work.
