A dull or absent light reflex from the eardrum may be a sign of a middle ear infection or fluid. The eardrum may be red and bulging if there is an infection. Amber liquid or bubbles behind the eardrum are often seen if fluid collects in the middle ear. Abnormal results may also be due to an external ear infection.

Weird. If you were struggling with this, they should have given you a PPI. Now you have inflammation.

I guess they might. I think they are going to be testing something and then maybe something will happen then. I was far too out of it when the doc was talking to me. Even now, and hour later, I still feel like I am in this constant state of "oh I just woke up"

ESOPHAGUS FINDINGS: A circumferential patch of abnormal mucosa was found in the
mid esophagus and distal esophagus. Biopsies were taken in the proximal and
distal esophagus for eosinophilic esophagitis. The GE Junction was noted at
40cm from the incisors. The GE Junction appeared normal.

STOMACH FINDINGS: Mild chronic gastritis (inflammation) was found in the gastric
antrum. Cold forcep biopsies were taken at the antrum and angularis to
evaluate for h. pylori. Retroflexion of the stomach was performed and
revealed no abnormalities.

DUODENUM FINDINGS: Mild duodenal inflammation was found in the duodenal bulb.
The scope was then withdrawn from the patient and the procedure was terminated.
Vital signs were monitored constantly throughout the procedure.

ENDOSCOPIC IMPRESSIONS: 1. Circumferential abnormal mucosa was found in
the mid esophagus and distal esophagus; Biopsies were taken in the proximal and
distal esophagus for eosinophilic esophagitis
2. The GE Junction was noted at 40cm from the incisors
3. Chronic gastritis (inflammation) was found in the gastric antrum
4. Duodenal inflammation was found in the duodenal bulb

RECOMMENDATIONS: 1. Await biopsy results
2. Discharge home when standard parameters are met
3. Continue PPI daily - 30 mins before a meal (Bacon Note: I do not take PPI nor I was give a prescription today)
