  4. Wasn't one of the benefits of the Switch supposed to be addressing the long dry spells Nintendo consoles are known for by not having to split their development efforts between home console and handheld?
  5. Hello to the dozen of us left... Anyways since the 3DS has cooled off a lot for most I though I would jump start the community thread again like we use to have on the handheld boards for those of us who wish to talk about 3DS stuff that might not warrant a full topic of it's own. There is still some decent life left in the 3DS with still a few notable titles on the way (Luigi's Mansion, Etrian Odyssey Nexus and Persona Q2). @GameDadGrant @CastlevaniaNut18 So anyways to kick off the thread, I would like to celebrate with showing off my 37th 3DS/1st n2DS.... It's amazing to look at in person. I was talking to GameDadGrant over PM about it since he also got one and we use to talk about n2ds LE in the old thread. Normally I don't open these but I couldn't help my self with this one.
  6. So my birthday is coming up and my gorgeous and cool-as-fuck wife may be planning on getting me a Switch by the sound of it. While I massively appreciate that and think it's great, I don't have the heart to tell her there isn't really anything out right now that I particularly care for... This brings me to the question of this topic. What's coming down the pipeline within the next year or so that would make this worthwhile? I'm not trying to shit on the system nor Nintendo by saying this, but I get the feeling there are a whole lot of ports, ports and ports and not that much exciting stuff in between? Let's hear it.

  9. I only play my Switch in handheld mode and have been eyeing Xenoblade 2 for some time. I never played the first one, but always wondered / and wanted to. This game would be a great time killer as it's a huge game from what I hear. Honestly though I have been a bit underwhelmed by a few titles that many ppl rave about on this little hand held gem of a system. SO! Just how well in the game in your opinions does it play this way, and hell why not. It it as good as it look and all. I loved Zelda, I'm really wanting some opinions here. The Switch has actually been getting some serious time lately, and for me that's a big thing. Still trucking through Dead Souls, Hollow Knight, and Bastion {yes, I know but I never beat it. I own it on everything and it's brother but never finished Bastion} So Xenoblade 2 worth the time to put on my Switch?

  12. So in total I've tried this game 5 times with zero success and that's to be expected. I was just wondering, are anyof you guys successful playing this game in handheld mode using connected Joycons? I find it very hard, I know i can dock it and use my Pro controller. I was just wondering. I just can not grasp the building aspect of it though with the upcoming COD Rattle Royal nearing launch, I have been wanting to see just why this game is SO BIG! So Fortnight on Switch in handheld pros in here? For the life of me I can't see how anyone could possible play this on a phone lol! I do have it one the PS4 Pro but it's never been launched either . . .
