  7. So I'm going on a trip with some long flights. Looking for some good games to play on the flight that are more engaging than solitaire or word puzzles. Since I'll be flying I have no idea if the airline will offer wifi at a reasonable rate or if it's fast/reliable enough to do any kind of online gaming so offline would be preferred. I'd imagine something turn based or slower paced would be good. Probably an RPG or strategy game. Thanks in advance.
  8. For those who haven't heard of it before, here's a cheesy intro video : And here's the game's website: https://www.ingress.com/ Basically, it's an augmented reality GPS game for your phone. You walk around and seek out various landmarks (statues, buildings, signs, etc.) and capture them for your team. It's a pretty fun way to get to know your city a bit better, IMO. A friend of mine is really into it and I was enjoying it when I played with him, but I kind of forgot about it until recently. We're both on the Resistance. Does anyone here play?

  17. Not internally developed, but they did scoop up a small chunk of the developer a little while back. This looks so much like those thousand other similar games that I get random pop ups for all over the place.
  18. In an effort to get around Google's 30% cut, Fortnite on Android will only be available through Epic's website, not through the Google Play Store. That's a massive deal, and it'll be interesting to see how Google responds. It's possible that they just accept that Fortnite is an exception, and that it will remain that way, not provoking other big name games to follow its lead. It's also possible that this could lead to the seemingly inevitable breakdown of the hard and fast 30% cut, which at one time seemed so generous, and now seems like a ridiculous burden. I'm not familiar with the iOS version. Does it just not allow in-app purchases, or is Epic just paying Apple's ransom?
