  1. Surprised not to see anything up for this yet. First episode was released today and was pretty fun with them racing American Muscle Cars in Detroit. Need to catch up on the past seasons but I might have to do that over the coming weeks

  3. Just as a heads up to anyone else who was looking forward to this as much as I was: Vulture did an interview with the "President of Entertainment Networks" for AMC, Sarah Barnett. That interview can be found here and contains a few interesting pieces of news about various AMC shows. The news about Better Call Saul is summed up in this article, but the gist of it is that they are delaying the next season until 2020 because Vince Gilligan is tied up with the Breaking Bad movie. It seems like a very reasonable thing to do, IMO; as much as I love binging on a season of BCS in the spring, I'd rather they delay it to ensure the standard level of quality. Also interesting is that they noted that this may be the last season of the show since Breaking Bad was also capped at five seasons and things are quickly catching up to where they were in that show.
  4. This doc has been moving around on the periphery for me. I knew it was out there and that it was about DS9, but didn't look into it too much. Now they have a trailer out, and it's looking amazing. Can't wait until it receives a public release. @Jason @SaysWho?

  6. Never watched Community, but noticed the other day that the entire series was on sale on iTunes for 20 bucks so I figured what the heck. I'm midway through the 2nd season already. Loving it. Abed's character is hilarious.
  7. I loved this book 'bigly' so I am hoping this turns out to be great.
  8. Tim Miller (Deadpool) and David Fincher (Fight Club, The Social Network) are officially joining forces to executive produce an adult-oriented animated anthology series for Netflix. Love, Death & Robots will include 18 episodes, animated in different styles and covering a range of genres, from science fiction and fantasy to horror and comedy.
  9. https://www.apple.com/apple-events/ https://www.macrumors.com/2019/03/18/apple-has-wrapped-filming/ they also refreshed the iPad mini, the iPad Air, and iMac line
  10. Anyone catch this "show"? I put show in parenthesis because there are 8 episodes, it's more like a mini-series than anything. I just finished it last night. I would say it's good. It's basically like a political (sort of) thriller taking place in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. Basically Kate Beckinsale plays Georgia, a woman who's got nothing left to lose when she sees her husband who supposedly perished in a plane crash on the news. So not only do we uncover the mystery of her husband but also the mystery behind the plane crash. I think it's enjoyable if you can convince yourself that everything she risks seeing her husband for is worth it, like this guy must have been the greatest of all time husband in order to go through this. Though I guess it's up to interpretation. I'd be glad to hear your thoughts on it. It also has Charles Dance in it too if you're into that. Also, if you haven't seen the show I'd skip this trailer (I didn't see it till I finished it )
  11. https://io9.gizmodo.com/the-dark-tower-is-finally-a-go-at-amazon-as-a-new-gunsl-1833467428?utm_medium=sharefromsite&utm_source=gizmodo_copy&utm_campaign=top They have cast Sam Strike, previously known for the TV show "Timeless", as Roland Deschain. He's not exactly what I pictured when I read the books, but I'm open to his interpretation. I'm just happy that it is being made. Hopefully it won't be a turd.
  12. https://www.nytimes.com/interactive/2019/arts/television/best-drama-series.html?smid=tw-nytimes&smtyp=cur Pretty good list. While I do think there are plenty of valid criticisms against GoT, I think they should have included it in the main list. It's changed the discussion of TV shows too much to not be. I also think Halt and Catch Fire should have made the full list, but I'm glad it made the "tough omissions" list. However, the greatest sin of this article by a landslide is that there is absolutely no mention of Black Sails, perhaps the greatest TV drama ever. Seriously, if you haven't see Black Sails stop everything else and watch it.
  13. Did anyone else watch this? I watched all of the episodes in one sitting tonight (there are only 6 episodes of 30 minutes each) and I enjoyed it quite a bit. The story is not particularly original, and the conclusions that the show reaches over the course of the six episodes are likewise not particularly original or surprising, but the show has quite a bit of heart. There are some very emotional moments (both dark and light), great music, great acting, and of course tons of laughs. What did you all think?
  14. Anybody watching this? It really is very good... me and my girl binged it this week. Go in as blind as possible, try not to be annoyed by the urban millennial bullshit and enjoy a very clever show.
  15. If you haven’t watched yet on Netflix, I highly recommend doing so. Not your typical superhero show as everyone is just mentally fucked up one way or another. Great cast and some pretty good VFX too, especially for Pogo. Hopefully Netflix will announce a 2nd season being picked up soon. Also cool to see local spots near me being used in the show. The big action scene in the 2nd episode was a Target store I use to service with Pepsi before Target went belly up. Just go and watch already
  16. For Apple Streaming Service I loved this movie when I was a kid In other news, when is this Apple service ever going to launch??? They're producing a TON of content.

  18. Airwolf was such a better show than the Blue Thunder series.
  19. Holy shit I remember when a lot of this was going on but it was worse than we even knew... how the fuck is this guy still free? Oh I know...
