  1. South Park begins the promotion of its 22nd season, premiering on September 26th, by launching a campaign calling for its own demise. ...
  2. Time for the annual “I’m not sure why I still give this show a chance but I just can’t help myself” thread. At least this season is intriguing. Not sure if it’s in a good way or not. But I’m curious what’s going on so I’ll keep watching for now.

  4. I won't get to watch it until later this weekend, but thought we could get up a discussion thread. I'm looking forward to it, although I admit my enthusiasm has waned after waiting for so long after that initial trailer.
  5. Anyone watch the premiere tonight? Pretty typically slow start but the different stories and characters seem interesting enough it could turn out to be decent. The movies have become a bit of a guilty pleasure so I’m excited to see how the show turns out.
  6. I'm really late and want to watch this before I jump into Cage season 2. I'm only 4 episodes into JJ but does it pick up? Damm this is slow as hell. If it wasn't for some of the humor, I may have dropped this.
  7. I've been waiting so I could binge watch it and see if the show sticks the landing. The Night Of burned me on production values over substance. Anyone here see Sharp Objects, and if so did you like it?
  8. I know that @Remarkableriots posted this in his SDCC thread but it didn't seem to be getting much attention there. I think this looks great. As someone also commented on reddit, I like a lot that it's serialized, i.e. telling a single story that carries over between episodes, ala Bojack Horseman, one of my favorite recent shows. Considering how much I loved Futurama and that I'm really getting a Fantasy Futurama vibe from this, I can't wait! Also, gotta love the song in the background.

  10. Batman: The Animated Series is coming to Blu-ray in its entirety later this year with remastered visuals. The Blu-ray release will get a deluxe limited edition box set (which is currently available for pre-order) that’s stuffed with special features, creator commentaries and additional content.
  11. That's right, Captain Fucking Sheridan. @Chairslinger @GeneticBlueprint
  12. Just restarting the discussion on this since season 3 is hitting pretty much all the right notes with me, especially ep. 5.

  15. I've recently been going through various HBO shows and decided to start watching this show. Yes very late to the party but I generally wasn't interested in this type of show when I was 12 years old (well other than Kids in the Hall). It's interesting that it's got Bob Odenkirk and David Cross before they were household names. Even has Mary Lynn Rajskub as a regular guest. She's such a goofball it makes me wonder how she ever got on 24. Here are some highlights for yall! I just like dumb stuff like this This one has a great payoff at the end. Maybe some not so subtle "thoughts and prayers" stuff

  17. Season 1 was amazing. If you haven't watched it, I highly recommend it. Looking forward to season 2...
  18. I just finished the whole thing. It started out slow and got more and more interesting, the ending was devastating for me.
  19. Holy crap, just finished it last night. Oh my word, this was just fantastic. There’s no way in hell I’m going beyond my free month of YouTube Red/Premium/Whatever because $16/month for what they’re offering is laughable, but I sure as heck will purchase a single month in 2019 when S2 of Cobra Kai comes out! The one thing that I really didn’t like and have to criticize was/is Miguel and pretty much all of the Cobra Kai students suddenly becoming a bunch of jerks at the end. Hawk/Lip made sense, as it was someone who was always picked on who felt weak suddenly having power, but for all of them to become douches? I dunno - Miguel’s felt kinda out of nowhere in that final ep. I get he was angry and all that with Robby, but Anyway, my criticism is overall minor. I just felt that after getting Johnny’s perspective from the first movie that the Cobra Kai kids really should have been the “misunderstood good guys” and not the jerks that everyone kept saying they were. Regardless, can hardly wait for S2!!!!
  20. Ethan Peck has been tapped to take on the iconic role and will play the half-human, half-Vulcan science officer of the USS Enterprise in season two of the SVOD service's Star Trek: Discovery.
  21. https://deadline.com/2018/07/batwoman-tv-series-i-the-cw-lesbian-superhero-lead-caroline-dries-greg-berlanti-1202427678/ I know the big CW show crossover this winter will involve Batwoman.
  22. Yvette Nicole Brown will be the new host of Talking Dead and I think she will do a better job compared to Chris Hardwick. https://www.msn.com/en-us/tv/news/yvette-nicole-brown-set-as-interim-talking-dead-host-amid-chris-hardwick-investigation/ar-AAA2wo4?ocid=AMZN
