About Me

  1. Likely other platforms too eventually, but for now it's just Switch and Apple Arcade only.
  2. https://www.cnbc.com/2020/08/06/nintendo-q1-earnings-profits-surge-428percent-animal-crossing-sales-double.html
  3. Picked up an assload of games games from the shop in the last couple of weeks, one of them being a bunch of there steamworld games. Started playing the first Dig games and am really liking it, though I do wish I could repair some of the areas I have blown up. I've played a number of hours and I am wondering if there is actually an end point or does it just get more and more difficult the deeper you go?
  4. anyone know often do the game deals switch up on eshop? Seems to me I see new stuff every other day. Also is there a way or a site, that lists the newest deals added? I know you can search by cost or genre, even by pub date, but I'd love to know what new deals started without having to look through everything listed.
  5. From what I hear it will be 10 minutes long. Please be excited!
  6. First off, Tetris 99 is the best free game that has been released through any of them. Second, it is the most unassuming service for people who are tired of juvenile bullshit. I don’t have to use some dumb username that I immediately regret making; rather I just get to use my name, or whatever other mundane name I give to my console profile. I don’t have to keep track of some stupid headset that is consistently on the verge of breaking (I must have went through three of the OG XBL headsets thanks to how flimsy that clip was); instead I just open an app on my phone, which is easy and simple. I don’t have to deal with any 15 year olds yelling and playing music into their headset, then fumble through menus to mute them; I can’t hear them by default! For what the Switch is and the types of games it has, its online service is the perfect match and extremely good. I will absolutely die on this hill.
  7. As we all know, the Switch is a huge success. But what will Nintendo do afterwards? They're about to be way behind in power with the PS5 and Xbox Series X. Will they just make a more powerful Switch? Will they make a new console entirely? And if they do, will they have another Wii U-level failure on their hands?

  9. Holy crap am I loving this game. Sure it has simple/fun gameplay , but I am absolutely loving the humor. This game is too damn funny. Why did I ever wait so long to try this one out?
  10. In the US, the game is scarce in stores, unavailable for online purchase at major retailers, and going for twice its list price on Amazon. I was in Target just a few weeks and thought about picking this up when I saw it.
  11. Sakurai just announced Min Min. Ill add the video when I find it. she looks like she will be incredible for 4 and 8 player smash. Not so much for one on one. She moves pretty slow, but is on the extreme end of medium range fighters.
  12. I will be brief, which should I go for? I will most likely use it for handheld gaming whilst my wife watches something that doesn't interest me or is using the PS4 (Sims 4, Two Point Hospital) and I loved having a 3DS for that reason. I'm just unsure whether I'll miss out on some of the Switch experiences that are better on a larger television (Super Mario Odyssey, Breath of the Wild 2 mainly) or for those with a Switch Lite, does it hold up well enough for those more traditional, home console games that this isn't really a consideration I should worry about. I feel that if I don't buy one now (well, in the next two months or so) I won't ever, with starting a new job, having a baby etc and the money commitments that will take.
  13. Or at least I was until I saw the fucking things are all sold out everywhere. Anyway, a quick look around it looks like the best bundle you can find is maybe with an old game like Zelda or Mario Kart. I'd prefer to be all digital if possible, hows that workout with the Switch? How much memory would I need for like 20ish games to be installed? Also do they decent deals on the eshop? One thing that bothers me with Nintendo is how their games stay expensive until they do some sort of greatest hits program. Finally, of course game recommendations. I'd mostly be playing docked, so really interested in exclusives, and maybe some decent party games for the handful of times I do take it anywhere. But probably not too interested in ports I probably already have better versions of elsewhere.
  14. Pretty insane. I didn't see anything posted about it and searched, if it's old sorry.
  15. Someplace online said it can cause conflicts. Is that accurate? I ran out of room on my first and started loading up a second one.
  16. Wendy’s held its own Smash Ultimate tournament and it was kind of epic. Also, download your own Wendy’s Mii Fighter for free!
  17. So I had pretty much decided to get a Switch, once they're available for normal cost. However, I have recently read about issues with the joy con controllers and drift. The implication was that it's not a matter of if the controller will go bad, but when. If it's that bad, I'll hold off, but I just wanted to see what your opinions are.

  19. Deserved it’s own thread because this is astronomical for the series. But also expected due to a Coronavirus bump? For comparison: - Spider-Man, the second fastest selling PS4 exclusive, took roughly 8 months to reach 13 million sales. (FF7 is supposedly the fastest at 3.5 mil in 3 days) - Smash Ultimate hit 13.8 million in 4 months. - Pokémon Sword and Shield did 16 million in the first 6 weeks, a little bit ahead of AC’s pace. - Red Dead Redemption 2 is still this gen’s juggernaut. As a multi-platform release, it hit 15 million in the first 8 days.
