  1. Preloading now. The preload is live for EA Access, Origin Access, and Access Premier. If you have EA/Origin Access you get a 10 hour trial starting on Friday. I heard Premier will get keys to give out to friends so if that is true I will provide some keys.
  2. Ubisoft Acknowledges Disappointing Ghost Recon: Breakpoint, Delays Rainbow Six: Quarantine, Watch_Dogs Legion and Gods & Monsters I was looking forward to Watch_Dogs Legion -- besides their comments, the launch window was looking pretty crowded (Cyberpunk, Doom, TLou2, etc.)
  3. Google's DeepMind AI team has put out a new paper in Nature detailing AlphaStar, their Starcraft II AI. While they've been playing against high level players for almost a year, those previous experiences were considered unfair because AlphaStar was given superhuman speed and vision. The new builds are far more limited. AlphaStar now sees the world through a camera and is only allowed 22 actions every 5 seconds of play. It can also play as any of the three races. Also, training is now fully automated and starts only with agents trained by supervised learning, rather than from previously trained agents from past experiments. The final version relied on 44 days of training and placed within the top 0.15% of the European player base. While that makes it a "Grandmaster" it also means it can't consistently beat the best players in the world. It's particularly vulnerable to strategies it hasn't seen before. You can see replays of it's games here. I think it still has a way to go, but I see this as a far more interesting and generally applicable kind of problem than Chess or Go. In particular not having perfect information and having such a huge number of possible moves (1026 actions to choose from at any moment!) means it's facing a lot of unpredictability. It certainly seems like it's only a matter of time before it's the best in the world. Maybe a show match at the next Blizzcon.
  4. 1080p with new features and enhancements Includes multiple game versions Watch mode (skip to any part of the game, jump in and play at any point) Ability to rewind Museum (a look behind the scenes) Trade Show Demo playable for the first time Screen filters and display options Soundtrack available to listen to individually I guess that means I could actually beat The Lion King with this.
  5. Ninja, a massive Fornite streamer, is going to be streaming on Microsoft's streaming service. Never has anyone this large left twitch so it is interesting.
  6. From thousands of on-screen soldiers to Duplex-powered "believable human interactions."
  7. Needless to say, I haven't played a lot of their top 10
  8. Epic Games is suing Fortnite Chapter 2 leaker. https://www.polygon.com/fortnite/2019/10/25/20932658/epic-games-fortnite-lawsuit-chapter-2-leak
  9. What We Know So Far - Iceborne is a massive story and post-game quest DLC that takes place after the events of Monster Hunter World. - A brand new location opens up, called Hoarfrost Reach, which is similarly as large as Astera. - Hoarfrost Reach will not be fully exploitable right from the start. Areas of this new land will be locked behind story missions. - Iceborne introduces Master Rank, which is essentially G-Rank from the previous games, the name being changed to be more recognizable to western audiences. - A number of brand new Monster's to hunt, including a new -frost based- Elder Dragon will be included in this DLC. - We will see the return of old favorites, such as Nargacuga and Tigrex. - As usual, Master Rank will introduce a slew of all new weapon and armor designs for all of the monsters and weapons. - All weapon types will now be able to use the slinger to a certain extent. This feature was previously exclusive to the sword and shield, so Capcom is whipping up something special to keep that weapon relevant. - You can use the clutch claw to grapple onto enemies, similar to how you could do so in Freedom Wars on PS Vita. This will open up a variety of brand new attacks and allow you to manipulate monsters in a variety of ways. This only works with normal slinger ammo and when the Monster is not enraged. - Slingers can now do more powerful charged shots which can temporarily stun monsters. - Successful clutch claw attacks will open up new weak points on Monsters and do what is called "Special Break Damage". This has not been elaborated on yet. - All of the weapons will be buffed, have new special or combo attacks and new slinger based attacks. - Iceborne will release on consoles on or around September 6th, 2019. It will release on PC at a later date. - A new physical release of Monster Hunter World: Iceborne Master Edition will be available, it includes both the main game + Iceborne DLC and retails for $60. Those who already own Monster Hunter World need only to purchase and download the DLC for $40. First Details New Moves/Clutch Claw Showcase
