  4. I'm thinking primarily hand animated rather than CG, but whatever. In no particular order: Avatar: the last airbender. Cowboy Bebop. Samurai Champloo. Princess Mononoke. The Secret World of Arrietty. The Legend of Korra. The Animatrix. Baccano! South Park: bigger, longer, and uncut. One punch man. What say you? I thought of including dead leaves or ren and stimpy, but they get a little too far into the bizarre, even though I love both of them.

  6. I decided to give this a shot yesterday after hearing about the high quality of its production values are and my God, they weren't kidding at all! You can absolutely tell that the Amazon money was put to good use here, especially with the cast of Riz Ahmed, Kat Dennings, Taron Egerton, Neil Gaiman (the narrator), James McAvoy, Samantha Morton, Bebe Neuwirth, Andy Serkis, and Michael Sheen. It's essentially a very faithful adaptation of the first story arcs in the series (Preludes and Nocturnes, The Doll’s House, and Dream Country). In fact, the main criticism I've seen of the audio drama i

Last night I watched a documentary on a basketball team and it was interesting but not hooking me. Thanks in advance.
  10. Why, why, why, WHY does NO STREAMING SERVICE have this fucking option? Check a box for "don't show me shit I've already seen." Steam won't show you games that are already in your library. You can check off other games if you don't want to see them again for whatever reason you want. Youtube doesn't put videos you've already seen in your home page (though what you've already "seen" seems to get reset after a year or so). Clearly, the technology to do it exists. Why doesn't any streaming service outside of that have that feature? It seems like it would be beneficial for t

  12. The best examples I can think of are King Kong (original, 2005, and Skull Island) and the first three seasons of LOST. Why so few good movies with this premise? Sure there's moviegames like Uncharted (so creative...all those fascinating undiscovered civilizations and the only thing you do is shoot dudes), stuff like Lord of the Flies, Six Days Seven Nights, Cast Away, Blue Lagoon, Battle Royale, Robinson Crusoe, etc, but where are the movies with the sense of adventure and discovery and elements of the fantastical like Kong and LOST, pre-shark jumping season 4? Is th

  16. Saw this thread and it was fun to read the replies. I think a massive miniseries following the life of Napoleon would be incredible. From his adolescence all the way to exile. What about you?
