  1. okay so some of you may remember a couple of weeks back I complained that the external drive I was using on my xbox stopped working. It was a Seagate. I just upgraded to an xbox 1 X and picked up a new hard drive, this time I went with a WD My Passport, pretty much the same one I have for my ps4. The odd thing is that when I shut down my xbox the light on the external drive keeps blinking. My Seagate never did that and the WD I have hooked up to my ps4 doesn't do that. I've tried both power settings on the xbox including making sure the external storage off box is checked for the instant on sleep mode. Does this happen for anyone else? Is it normal or is it something I need to worry about, like maybe just unplugging the drive every time I'm not using my xbox. I've tried searching online and can't seem to find out is this normal or not. Thanks
  2. My wife wants to get rid of the reclining couch for a normal, smaller, more decorative one. A decision I've heartily declined for a few years now because I do all my gaming from our couch but she's recently employing the tactic of trying to get me to game from a gaming chair instead. How are they? Worth about 200+$? Are there diminishing returns on comfort above a certain price? I've seen some options for built in mouse and keyboard trays which would be cool for me because I game on my PC and consoles all through my TV.
  3. So a couple weeks ago, I ended up snagging a pair of SONY MDR-XB950N1's for listening to podcasts/music on the go via bluetooth and they're pretty solid for sure when priced at a measely $100. This got me thinking about what I have as a headset for gaming (old Astro A50 Master Chief edition) which were bulky, had drop outs a lot and far too many wires. Fast forward to today where I stopped into Gamestop to snag a few hundred bucks in XBL money to pre-order incoming games for the fall and my eyes befell upon the Plantronics RIG 800LX wireless Dolby Atmos headphones. I had enough points to get an extra $25 off so I paid $125 for them. I won't have time until the end of the week to really test these out but upon a cursory look at reviews, it seems as though I made a solid choice. Just was wondering what everyone else uses and also, if you have the set that I just bought, tell me about them and what you like/dislike!?
