  9. Yep. Sorry, I'm calling it. I have mad respect for Nate B and Jason W and they do support it, but I am not buying it. 499 rec, for 5,390 yards and 30 TDs at 32 years old doesn't cut it, regardless of playoffs. Especially not in this era.

  14. Forcing hands with a big bet, BasemntDweller2 retakes the lead going into the final week of the MGT competition! But he can't rest easy; the top of the leaderboard is right on his tail with less than $100k seperating each of the top 3 contenders! With only the Super Bowl left to battle over, who will be left standing atop the hill when the dust settles?! -= CONFERENCE CHAMPIONSHIP ROUND RESULTS =- Feature Game: L.A. Rams (+3.5) @ New Orleans Saints It took overtime and a little bit of controversy, but the Rams win outright to book their first Super Bowl trip in 18 years! -= QUESTIONS =- 1) What will be the first scoring play of the NFC Championship game? 17. The New York Jets’ head coaching search has reportedly come to an end with the selection of perhaps the most boring name on the market. Despite a list of potential candidates that included exciting assistants like Kansas City’s offensive coordinator Eric Bieniemy or hotshot Cowboys d-backs coach Kris Richard, the Jets have opted instead to pick up the Dolphins’ sloppy seconds, hiring Adam Gase to replace Todd Bowles. Gase just got fired by Miami after a 7-9 year, and he only managed a 23-25 record in three seasons. But hey, at least he went 5-1 against the Jets! Also related: I am so confused.
  18. In a bittersweet MGT moment, a big bet on his beloved Seahawks lifts thewhyteboar back to the top of the pack! The lead is retaken, but only by the slimmest of margins! With only 3 weeks left the bets are getting riskier as the stakes get higher. Who'll be left standing when the dust settles in the end?! -= WILD CARD RESULTS =- Feature Game: Seattle Seahawks @ Dallas Cowboys (-2.5) The Cowboys managed to hold on to eek out a victory on the field, but fail to cover the points, losing by a score of 22-21.5 (24-2.5). Biggie was the only player to get this one right. 2) How many total turnovers (combined, both teams) will occur in the Feature Game? ($8,000 for the correct number) Rayne threw an interception for the game's lone turnover (1). Nobody guessed this. 3) Of the 4 Wild Card games this weekend, how many will be decided by 8 or fewer points? ($6,000 for the correct answer) 3 of the 4 wild card games were decided by a single possession, with only Colts vs Texans having a bigger margin. 4) Who will be the most penalized team this weekend in terms of number of penalties (not yards)? Chargers @ Baltimore Philadelphia @ Chicago Bad week for the home teams as all the road warriors go home happy. Everyone begins with $1,000 no matter which week you jump in! Good luck to everyone in the Divisional Round! Feature Game and Questions follow this post! -= THE RULES =- 1. You make your bet and answer the questions simply by posting on the thread each week with your pick for the featured game along with your bet, followed by your answers to the prediction questions. 2. Everyone starts with $1,000. If a user doesn't start until week 3, they still start with $1,000. Your best bet it to get in early and play every week. 3. If you somehow reach $0 you are not out of the competition. You can't bet on the feature game during weeks that you are broke, but you can answer the prediction questions and hope to earn cash to gamble the following week. 4. IMPORTANT: I will set a deadline for getting your entries for the week in (usually before kick-off of that week's first game). It is imperative that you make your post before the deadline. The entry thread will be locked at the deadline so if you don't get your entry in by then you lose out on the chance to make money that week. 5. I work full time AND coach youth football AND go to school when I can AND have a near crippling gaming addiction AND probably drink too much. Responsibilities and personality flaws allowing, I will attempt to post the results and the next week's game/questions each Tuesday, as early as possible. Keep in mind though that there may be some wackiness here and there based on my schedule and hangovers. Pay attention. 6. For the official recording of stats/yardage NFL.com will be used. Whatever their site says on Tuesday morning is what counts. No whining. 8. Accounts created within the current calendar month are not eligible to play and any entries from such accounts will not be considered. -= Previous Weeks =- Week 1 Week 2 Week 3 Week 4 Week 5 Week 6 Week 7 Week 8 Week 9 Week 10 Week 11 Week 12 Week 13 Week 14 Week 15 Week 16 Week 17 Wild Card Round

  20. With the college football season starting up Saturday I figure now's as good a time as any to make this thread. No really great games though. Kind of odd since they had a season opener in Australia last year, this year we just get Prairie View at Rice
