Went to the bookstore last night, had some B&N credit, picked up Shogun by James Clavell and started it last night. -

Delilah Green Doesn’t Care by Ashley Herring Blake and The Girl in the Ice by Robert Bryndza. -
Jfc, that’s awful. I was wanting to buy a new jersey this year, but from what I’m seeing, I may pass. I’ll have a look when I go to the Braves game, but I don’t really wanna order online now.

I'm in the path of totality. I have to work that night, but I'll probably get up in time to see it.

Haven't updated in a while, but I've been reading. Finished Drawing of the Three the other day and it was really good. I'm definitely going to be continuing the series. I also read When You Least Expect it by Hayley Cass, The Women by Kristin Hannah, and I'm currently reading The House is on Fire by Rachel Beanland and Dyatlov Pass by Alan Barker. Should be done with both of those soon. I think I'm about to start Prequel: An American Fight Against Fascism by Rachel Maddow for my nonfiction. Never read one of her books, but I used to like her commentary, though I really don't watch any news channels anymore. I've really been out socializing with my friends a lot lately, not home reading as much. I hung out with three different friends in the span of a week, which might be a record for me in recent years, lol. -
Wait, They're Marketing Cereal for Dinner Now?
CastlevaniaNut18 replied to skillzdadirecta's topic in The Shower
Yeah, to clarify, I'm not saying a lot of sugar intake is healthy, obviously it's not. Just that it doesn't actually make kids hyper. It's an old wives tale, like grandma telling you you'll catch a cold by going outside in the cold with wet hair. -

Actually, that’s an old myth. -
Which dairy alternatives do you like, if any?
CastlevaniaNut18 replied to Nokra's topic in The Shower
I don’t really guzzle milk, but I use whole milk in my cereal and such. I’ve tried almond and coconut milk and while they’re fine, they just can’t replace dairy for me. I do take the lowest dose statin for cholesterol, but it’s kept my numbers well within normal for years. It’s not something I worry much about. -
But it’s nasty going in, which is the point.

Y'all fuckin' nasty.

Do you decorate your apartment or house?
CastlevaniaNut18 replied to Remarkableriots's topic in The Shower
To an extent. Varies by room. Upstairs living room is more outdoorsy, with a mounted deer, some hunting related decor, and I've started taking a favorite photo from each vacation and putting it on canvas to hang. And I have a painting done by a family friend over my fireplace of a beautiful waterfall I visited in North Carolina. Lighthouses on canvas in the bathrooms. My office area is my sports memorabilia. Game room. One spare bedroom is a guest room/library, with some additional sports stuff. Only room not really decorated is our bedroom, but I plan to hang some stuff in there eventually. -
I really don't like any of them and haven't eaten one of these things since I was a kid. My mom would put a Fudge Round or Star Crunch in my lunch when I was a kid.

General Gaming Without saying your age...

I really don't know. It wasn't my first system, but the first system I ever bought games for on my own was PS1. Probably some baseball game or Crash Bandicoot. -
I've never had a car payment for that long, thankfully. First new truck I bought on my own was done in 3 years, my current truck I bought in 2019 was paid off in 10 months. Love not having payments. Paying off the mortgage last year felt amazing.
