  1. I've got a friend who is very into photography, I'll ask what she uses and if it's approximately within this price range. Actually, what's your range approximately?
  2. This is Bach at his most grandiose compared to what was to come in terms of collaborations: More like "LULZ". Still one of the funniest albums I've ever heard.
  3. Yeah, how is this even necessary when the highly acclaimed docu just came out? I honestly thought this was some sort of skit and that's why I even clicked on it.
  4. Anyone here seen the Name Of The Rose show by the way? It stars John Turturro and happens to be one of my favorite books but I seem to have heard absolutely zero about it. https://www.imdb.com/title/tt7572868/
  5. Been trying to git gud at Samurai Shodown V Special still. Great game, hard as fuck though.
  6. More specifically "I could be Lars Ulrich and have tuned a snare like a fucking brain-damaged monkey with missing fingers on a major studio album only to pawn it off as 'rawness'"
  7. I used to do drugs. I still do, but I used to too. -My hero
  8. I was personally hoping he'd just admit to partying like a fucking rockstar, so I'm actually on Team Drugs here myself
  9. He stated quite a few times that he heavily dislikes drugs due to some family thing and he's always spazz as fuck. I honestly think he's just that much of a wacko, in a rather entertaining way.
  10. Just remembered this, fantastic, and if I didn't know better I'd assume Tarantino was on approximately 2kg of blow.
  11. This one should definitely go full XXX hardcore gay shower scenes after the first one was basically the most in-the-closet flick ever.
  12. I thought it was commendable that he managed to make a quite convoluted plot, and to Western audiences probably relative unknown setting, very easily understandable. It could've devolved into a bloated mess rather easily I think. And that's with subtitles on top of it. It was actually shown to me by a French-Canadian girl who insisted I watch it with her this weekend, despite it being on my list forever.
  13. Started watching it and just found myself bored and disinterested for some reason already, I'll try again another time. I just really think S1 was enough for me and felt like a great self-contained story, everything else so far has felt tacked-on just to keep the show going.
  14. Incendies - 9/10 I've been meaning to dive into Denis Villeneuve's pre-Prisoners output for a while now because well, he's probably my favorite currently active director, and once again was not disappointed. Despite some of the rather staggering amount of coincidences feeling far-fetched in the story's finale, I thought this was an incredibly well-crafted, memorable and emotional film overall. Half of a point was simply deducted for the use of Radiohead's music, whom I hate. Something I truly appreciated was the relative coldness, or matter-of-factness, of the atrocities on display. No dramatic nor heroic score to tell the audience how to feel, I appreciated that in this grim context. Anyone who has seen it: I assume this was essentially Lebanon? Seems to mirror that conflict after some more reading.
  15. I never ended up watching it due to many bad reviews...but I basically love all his other films I've seen. Will give it a shot.
  16. I really like this flick. There's always that peasant-hating, glove-slapping villain in these types of movies and Vincent Price takes the cake in this one with his sheer monumental cuntery. Also, the opening is really memorable and harsh. I also love Reggie Nalder as Albino in Mark of the Devil. Huge asshole too.
  17. The way I see the original Halloween is more like a then-modern, suburban take on Mario Bava style gothic horror. I see a lot of that style of cinematography and eerie lighting in it, the movie lives on those aspects. Rob Zombie's idiotic "everything I touch must be a White Zombie video redux" aesthetic is the complete opposite. I actually think House... is terrible as well but at least it's so bad it's actually entertaining if it's on.
  18. Nail biting definitely bothers me but nail picking is the worst for me. As in when people pick at, say, their thumb nail's perimeter skin furiously with their other fingers and so on...that sound and usually deformed look of their nails makes me queasy as fuck for some reason. A woman in my office does this shit incessantly and it makes me supremely uncomfortable.
  19. I overheard some people talk about this at my local deli this morning and apparently he tried this shtick at a nearby deli as well a few months ago. It's his "thing", yeah, in search of his 15 minutes of internet celebrity and all that.
  20. Join a hockey league, practice for several months, invite her to said hockey league, get her involved in actual games after several months of training, fake an outrage to throw down with her and punch her in the teeth repeatedly and legally.
