  1. It's disappointing that it won't launch before the Thanksgiving extended weekend... well, maybe a mixed blessing. We're not going out of town or anything, but now I don't have an excuse to put off Christmas decorating on 11/26. Two weeks is a really short delay, in any case.
  2. The first time I remember anime-style designs looking terrible in a JRPG was Xenosaga 1, back in 2003. Just like with this game, it had the weird, porcelain doll look. Other games have managed to do it well since then, so I have no idea why anyone ever goes back to this unappealing style.
  3. This sounds really good. I loved so much about the first game, but felt like I wasn't making any real progress after a while. My characters kept dying or getting too many afflictions to be useable and I was constantly having to level new ones.
  4. That part almost ended my run after a couple of failed attempts. And I mean BADLY failed. My advice is to stock up on health (and heat, and health+heat) medicine. Don't forget to use the items around the rooms (chairs, computers, etc.) and attack enemies with them. They don't do a ton of damage usually, but can be good for hitting several guys at once. Also, be sure to spend money to upgrade your abilities. The health increases in each fighting style apply to ALL fighting styles.
  5. I'm finally getting back into Yakuza 0. I bought it for six bucks a few years ago and have put a little time into the game here and there, but I've been playing a lot over the last few days. (Although it's confusing - Steam says I've played at least 15 hours in the past week for a total of 30-something, but the in-game timer says it's only been 18 hours total). Like everyone says, the game is really good. So far I have to say that I think Like a Dragon is better, but that might be the lifelong RPG fan in me talking.
  6. Speak up, I can't hear you as I walk away! But in any case, I enjoyed the history lesson. I'm in my late 30s, so it's good to know that the average age around here is older, too.
  7. Same here. I spend a lot of time reading forums (and significantly less posting in them) but it feels like every several years, my "main" forum has some major drama and there's either an exodus or I can't deal with the toxicity anymore. I'm not really at that point yet with ResetERA, but I figured it was time to check out some other sites.
