Larry David's statement:

Ah man this is sad. I haven't seen the most recent season of Curb, but he and Larry David had such wonderful chemistry.

I support stars using their star power to make a personal project. This seems like something that has been wanting to make since the 90s. It should certainly be watchable, especially with that cast.

The sequel has already bene filmed and will be released a few months after I guess. Parts 3 and 4 might be coming out later as well.
I've never been the biggest Costner fan, but if he single-handedly revitalizes the western genre...

So when the Texas electrical grid inevitably fails again, and all those IVF refrigerators conk out, we can charge Abbott with mass murder?

This seems to be at least 10 years past the zeitgeist.

I was at my in-laws so I ripped through Grendel by John Gardner. The philosophical nature of it blended well with the wine I was drinking all weekend.
The Shootist by Glendon Swarthout is up there with my favorite westerns. I think the best westerns are the ones that attempt to reckon with the violence of American history. From the brutal, visceral descriptions of what a bullet does to a body, to the way our culture celebrates violence, this is a great one.

I watched too many things since my update so I’ll just post a few.
I finally watched Infernal Affairs and it rips. I’m not sure if I like it more than The Departed, but I definitely prefer the ending to the original. I’ll be watching the rest of the trilogy, though I heard they aren’t as good as the first.
I also watched Peeping Tom, a great thriller from the early 60s. If you want something that breeds the creepy voyeurism of Rear Window and the psychosexual vibes of Psycho, Peeping Tom is your movie.

Ys 8 is the best, but it's also the beefiest. Most of the games can be beaten in 20 hours max. Ys 8 takes like 50+ hours. I would recommend starting with Ys 7 or Memories of Celceta to see if you like it. Oath in Felghana is the only one that I think is actively shitty, the rest are fun. But I wouldn't start with Origin, I&II Chronicles, or Ys 6. Make sure you like the gameplay format before you dive into those. The games kind of play like a super fast-paced Secret of Mana. The bosses in the earlier games pretty much turn into bullet hell, and they can be super hard.
Also the games don't really have much connecting plot. Some characters show up in multiple games, but it's not a big deal. The general premise is "Adol gets into some shit," you don't need any backstory. There is a technical chronological order, but it really doesn't matter.
It's honestly one of my favorite franchises. I haven't finished 9, but I've played every other game. Some of the earlier ones can be really, really hard, so be aware of that. If you want to jump into the series, I would recommend starting with Ys 7 or Memories of Celceta. They're relatively short (20 hours or so) and will give you a good idea of the gameplay. Ys 8 and 9 are much bigger.
Also the series has the absolute sickest music. Ys 8 might have my favorite JRPG soundtrack of all time.
They were on sale so I bought Ys 8 and have been playing it all weekend. It freaking rocks. I love it so far.

Trump launches a sneaker line
WWW.NBCNEWS.COM
Former President Donald Trump launched a line of sneakers ranging in price from $199 to $399.
he’s got this, launched a new line of gold $400 shoes today, very presidential!
We are one more guilty verdict away from seeing Don Jr. selling bootlegs outside a subway station.

It has been reported that Steve Wilks, 49ers DC, has been fired.
Understandably! He called all those pass plays and didn't give McCaffrey the ball! He also wanted the ball in overtime and didn't bother to explain the rules to his team. Big mistakes!
Oh. I'm hearing that wasn't Wilks?

The problem with Trump is he is dumb and has mental issues AND he is a huge piece of shit that can’t shut the fuck up. I feel like Biden whether successful or not genuinely loves the country at the very least whereas Trump is all about trying to actively destroy the country.
Trump would send every single member of his family to the firing squad if he thought it would earn him a single iota of more adoration.
