my main pawn is a fighter, but that’s because Im a squishy mage. I buy him new armor and weapons before I buy anything for even my own character. The recommendation I think is usually to have your main pawn opposite of your own vocation. So grab a healer if youre and up close fighter. Get a fighter to tank if youre a ranged character.

The intro area to the game is just so lush and dense. Almost feels like the color saturation in vegetation is unnatural, but it all looks so good. It is a stark contrast to the dead and decaying ruins of the old world with its faded and darker colors on anything that isnt emitting light or overlayed/revealed by the Focus.

Nope. Ive been in that club since 1995. Though the more a person has to dial back the visuals the worse it looks. The RT and global illumination really do give the world a warm natural look. With them turned down or completely off to try and fix a demanding game the more like an uprezzed Xbox 360 it begins to look like. Not unlike the videos and screens of Series S. It only really looks great if you can make it look great. And even when you can it doesn’t look like it is doing something that warrants the demands of the hardware it makes. It is different art styles, but it doesn’t seem as visually stunning as Horizon FW that just released on PC and performance is much better.

Commentators during qualifying are saying Williams won’t have a spare chassis through China. Yeesh. There could be a scenario where one driver misses an entire race weekend, practices and all, or both cars miss a race. Not a great situation to be in. anywho, congrats to Carlos Sainz on qualifying P2 on his first race back. Sucks a bit for Perez on a 3 place grid penalty to start 6th, but at least we will see some passing while he works his way back to the podium. Tsunoda yet again outshines Ricciardo, getting 8th to start. Oh Ricciardo, you are making it so hard to want to see you in that car. Q1 gave me such high hopes for Alonso, but boy did those Aston’s fall. Hamilton still struggling in a car designed to cater to him. I hope the race is interesting. Perez coming up the field and seeing if Tsunoda can keep it in the points may be the only interesting things happening. Maybe McLaren and Ferrari and Perez fighting on track could make for some good entertainment.

I wonder if that has to do with the size and weight of your character. Mine is on the small side and feels responsive. Bad frame pacing with lower frame rate can make a player character feel chunky and sluggish too.

yeah that’s them. I finally killed that minotaur, but just barely it felt like. I had to use a wake stone and my three pawns were always in the red on health. They were getting downed so much. a few vocation weapon skills later and these kinds of fights are easier. My group now also has two mages, including myself. I am also constantly upgrading my main pawn’s gear rather than my own because I need him to be able to take and deliver a beating. lol

yeah makes you wonder what the point of them is when the bury the bad, because they dont want to hurt something they like.

I can never seem to find one when I need one. But maybe that’s also because Im like five minutes from town. Hardly out in the wilderness.

no. Just surprising this so near the main city so early in the game. I’d expect this more further out when you’ve gotten stronger, better gear, and more capable pawns. Like this wiped out not only my party, but a random ox cart and it’s entourage of protectors too. it is the kind of thing that throws suspension of disbelief out of the way all of a sudden too, as that is just untenable for a civilization to survive at all if the world is this savage and inhospitable in its density of perils. Especially when the story so far isn’t “man, there are more creatures than ever by a significant magnitude, please help”.

For almost any other game it wouldn’t, but your party can get overwhelmed by just 3 enemies, because the pawns path stupidly or whatever and just let themselves get beat in the face sometimes. probably my fault for picking a mage as my starter vocation.

Really not liking the overworld. It feels sooooooo small. So condensed. You run into one small group of enemies and suddenly 3 other small groups of enemies appear, and then some massive monster with 4 health bars all while youre trapped in a canyon. the pawns are also dumb as crap. The run away and climb on things for no reason and take forever to drop down to engage in a fight below them. If the terrain is not flat they are worthless.

Im doing what I planned and making myself mage/support. Not sure I like the mechanic where max HP is lost whenever a hit is taken. had my first crash in the morgue of Vernworth. Speaking of which, did anyone revive the pawn that escaped with you at the beginning? I wonder if too many nights passed and I missed my chance. does this mean you have dual DRM running in the game now? lol

I think some of the concern with ES6 is it doesn’t feel like BGS is evolving or improving. It feels like they are still making early 2000s games. Quest design, NPCs, a world so obviously broken up into tiny maps. The shooting feel of weapons is probably the biggest improvement BGS made with Starfield and it’s the one thing we all know will not be in ES6. if all you want from ES6 is a prettier Skyrim, then that is fine. Anyone hoping for a title worthy of being a modern day AAA title, I think they are going to be disappointed.

I didn’t feel the last mission was thrown together, but it felt like every other quest line was, and hastily. The whole game felt like it was built in pieces with little regard for how they would all fit together until near the end of development. As if nobody, even the team leads and their leadership were talking to each other.

That’s console life. You’re often lucky if you even get brightness settings.

FIA, FOM and team principals all seem sus. This all seems wholly political where it’s all a series of corruption, greed, power grabs. Yeah I don’t remember any Williams crashes in the first 2 races, which makes me wonder if either had crashed then we could have seen this even earlier in the season.

lol right after that decision a lawsuit is announced against the FIA by Susie Wolfe. F1 really wants to get thus guy to resign. Interesting that Williams benches Logan Seargent due to a lack of parts to repair Albon’s car. Ferrari and specifically Leclere fans are very excited. lol Maybe they’re right and he can win, but I think they’re just setting themselves up for heartbreak.

it also has Denuvo which has pissed people off and you can’t just delete your character and start a new one.

The graphics options has a max frame rate option, so you do not need to leave it uncapped.
