  1. Oh shit yeah that's a good call. I did just set up a new antivirus. Is that git link for Moonlight different from the one in the discover app on Steam Deck desktop?
  2. I've been having a lot of trouble with the game on PC. It crashed 3 times in the first few hours of gameplay and many of the cutscenes will weirdly drop me to 5-8 fps then it just stays that way for a few minutes before it increases again after the cutscene. I'm playing in 1440p with DLSS on balanced on a 3080 .
  3. Something must be wrong with my setup. MSTC.exe streaming is freezing after a few minutes then it just stays frozen. Tried both codecs and auto.
  4. I don’t think anything new will be out this year. Most people seem to be focused on whatever Apple is going to announce for VR. A lot of people think it will be small enough to tap into this market.
  5. One of the arms snapped but I fixed it with electrical tape and it works like a charm. I use it for almost all my gaming and media watching still. I don’t envision myself ever buying another TV or monitor again. This is the very first model to come out and it’s already pretty great with 1080p and good colors/black at 60fps. There are several competitors coming out too so the future looks pretty bright for this tech.
  6. Yeah I haven’t tried moonlight on it yet. I’ll have to give that a shot. The PS5 remote play works really well now with Chiaki
  7. How’s the quality difference between PC and PS5? I have a 3080 on PC. Would probably rather play on PS5 if the quality is comparable because it tends to have smoother remote play on my Steam Deck than PC but if the quality would be much better on PC I’ll go that way.
  8. Unfortunately these are really only practical for at home use and seated situations like on a plane (though, yeah, porn is a bad idea since people can technically see the tiny reflections if they really look lol), but I can use them while doing stuff around my place. I cleaned the kitchen and did the dishes yesterday while watching Netflix and that was fantastic. You could use them outside I guess but it’s super distracting the screen takes up a lot of space. By the way, for cell phones, I don’t think these work with iPhone yet without an adapter (that the dev is releasing on US Amazon soon). But they’re amazing on Android because of Samsung Dex. Samsung Dex with these glasses is wonderful. It basically turns your phone into a computer and you can open all the apps in it while turning your phone’s screen black and using it as a touchpad. It’s the main way I use them when I’m not on steamdeck. Another detail about them is that the manufacturer is super responsive to the Reddit community on the Nreal sub. They’ve already made a number of changes based on feedback they’ve gotten on there and they usually respond quickly to questions.
  9. It has a 3dof AR mode with supported phones but it’s gimmicky and not really useful imo. You may also get motion sickness if you’re very sensitive to the normal screen because it follows you wherever you look and stays perfectly centered in your view. I don’t get it at all after using it for like 6 hours straight though.
  10. The factor that pushed me over on buying it was that when it’s plugged into the Steam Deck, it supposedly makes the battery last even longer than normal because the Steam Deck screen goes black and the screens on the glasses are so small that they actually use less battery than the normal screen does. Unfortunately the biggest draw back with these glasses is that there’s no neat solution for charging the Steam Deck while using it. People have workarounds but they involve expensive docking stations. But when you have it plugged into a phone you can wirelessly charge the phone and you can also use it with a normal PC so long as it has a display port USB C slot
  11. Yeah actually the main reason I posted here is because I was going to try to tell him about it in Discord but I don’t think I have the right Discord account name for him anymore.
  12. I know we have a lot of Steam Deck fans here so I thought I’d post about it. They’re pretty amazing imo. Not exactly what I *really* want in AR but it’ll hold me over for a while until that’s invented.
  13. I have her at level 80 now with mediocre gear and she's ok. The play-style is neat. I don't really have an amazing team built for her. Running her with Shogun, Kokomi and Kazuha.
  14. How big of a leap is this Horizon from the first one on PC? I want to get this but I'm a bit broke right now so I'm trying to convince myself to hold off until I can afford it.
  15. I got Shenhe and I think she's kind of unuseful. Ice DPS carries should really be in melt comps imo unless you're struggling with pve. Melt comps hit way harder. Freeze comps are just safer. And she doesn't fit very well in melt comps.
  16. You gonna wish for her? I haven't decided if I plan to try and get her since I don't really have a team that needs off field electro dps.
  17. If she was an off field fire dps, she'd probably not get used. They'd have to make her pretty op for people to replace Xiangling with her.
  18. Yeah, I agree. Fwiw, Zenith is like how you describe. You don't have to group with anyone but you'll find people doing quests or dungeon areas that you need to do and you can just jump in and fight alongside them without having to communicate with them at all or you can solo and ignore other people.
  19. I'm a little less fond of it now. It gets a bit repetitive. I'm level 17 I think now and the repetitiveness of the combat and quests has burnt me out a bit. It seems like it'll get a lot of love from the devs going forward though.
