I've been having a lot of trouble with the game on PC. It crashed 3 times in the first few hours of gameplay and many of the cutscenes will weirdly drop me to 5-8 fps then it just stays that way for a few minutes before it increases again after the cutscene. I'm playing in 1440p with DLSS on balanced on a 3080 .

One of the arms snapped but I fixed it with electrical tape and it works like a charm. I use it for almost all my gaming and media watching still. I don’t envision myself ever buying another TV or monitor again. This is the very first model to come out and it’s already pretty great with 1080p and good colors/black at 60fps. There are several competitors coming out too so the future looks pretty bright for this tech.

Unfortunately these are really only practical for at home use and seated situations like on a plane (though, yeah, porn is a bad idea since people can technically see the tiny reflections if they really look lol), but I can use them while doing stuff around my place. I cleaned the kitchen and did the dishes yesterday while watching Netflix and that was fantastic. You could use them outside I guess but it’s super distracting the screen takes up a lot of space. By the way, for cell phones, I don’t think these work with iPhone yet without an adapter (that the dev is releasing on US Amazon soon). But they’re amazing on Android because of Samsung Dex. Samsung Dex with these glasses is wonderful. It basically turns your phone into a computer and you can open all the apps in it while turning your phone’s screen black and using it as a touchpad. It’s the main way I use them when I’m not on steamdeck. Another detail about them is that the manufacturer is super responsive to the Reddit community on the Nreal sub. They’ve already made a number of changes based on feedback they’ve gotten on there and they usually respond quickly to questions.

It has a 3dof AR mode with supported phones but it’s gimmicky and not really useful imo. You may also get motion sickness if you’re very sensitive to the normal screen because it follows you wherever you look and stays perfectly centered in your view. I don’t get it at all after using it for like 6 hours straight though.

The factor that pushed me over on buying it was that when it’s plugged into the Steam Deck, it supposedly makes the battery last even longer than normal because the Steam Deck screen goes black and the screens on the glasses are so small that they actually use less battery than the normal screen does. Unfortunately the biggest draw back with these glasses is that there’s no neat solution for charging the Steam Deck while using it. People have workarounds but they involve expensive docking stations. But when you have it plugged into a phone you can wirelessly charge the phone and you can also use it with a normal PC so long as it has a display port USB C slot

Any reasons to reinstall it on PC or is this just a console thing?

General Gaming Zenith: The Last City VR - Releases 1/27/2022

Yeah, I agree. Fwiw, Zenith is like how you describe. You don't have to group with anyone but you'll find people doing quests or dungeon areas that you need to do and you can just jump in and fight alongside them without having to communicate with them at all or you can solo and ignore other people. -
General Gaming Zenith: The Last City VR - Releases 1/27/2022

I'm a little less fond of it now. It gets a bit repetitive. I'm level 17 I think now and the repetitiveness of the combat and quests has burnt me out a bit. It seems like it'll get a lot of love from the devs going forward though.
