This sucks. My whole plan for this game was to play through it with my kids. Also in the article it says the functionality 'could be added in the future'. That is far from certain. Ah well. I think I'll wait for it to hit gamepass someday.

I think it is an awesome way to do it. I loved last summer when the new Xcom was announced and released within about a week. I'm a fan of not teasing everyone for years and then disappointing them later.

So there is a bunch of stuff posted here... I read through some of it but I don't feel like reading all of that plus the 3 or so articles. Is this guy an ass who is really mean to people, or did he sexually assault someone?

So for an old guy perspective on this conference - I had this thing playing in the background so I could listen to it while I worked. I was mostly listening to find out if they would announce an pro version because I'm seriously considering buying a switch for my kids. I have to say the only game that I really recognized or understood was Mario Golf. I mean they were talking about a game at one point where you had a lightsaber and you fought Aliens in a fighting game style... but then you also occasionally had to mow lawns. lol wtf. I'm not hating on any of it, there was obviously a ton for the Japanese market and I'm glad there is something for every taste. Just weird to me, but that's ok.

I'm excited to try Dirt 5. Most of the knock on the game from the reviews seemed to be that it wasn't a graphical showcase but was smooth at 60fps and was fun to play. Racing games aren't usually my jam... but included with gamepass seems like a great price to try this for a while.

I was going to say the same thing. This looks like the formation of a supervillan. I'm not sure this is what I pictured as the formative years for someone who's master plot was to create Dalmatian fur coats.

I would agree with most of that. When the do bring them in I kind of hope they bring them in fresh. I know they are going multiverse with all the past versions of spiderman - and there are talks of bringing back Cap as some alternate dimension version of himself. But I don't want to see them somehow shoehorn in the big mess of fox xmen movies. They had a messy timeline as is and questionable quality from movie to movie. And a little deadpool does go a long way. I'm wondering if they are going to go in the same direction with She-Hulk. She kind of talks to the camera and breaks the 4th wall a lot too depending on which version of her character they go with.

Why do you not like the X-men? I honestly think they need a break, maybe wait till phase 5 to bring them along. With all the sequels that are already lined up plus the eternals and the bruce lee one (I forget what it is called) they have plenty to do for phase 4... and I think they will introduce F4.

I just watched that and noticed at the 1:18 mark that Wanda and Vision seem to be squaring off... It only has a couple of frames of the shot. That could be close to the end. Maybe Vision realizes he is dead and Wanda is creating a bunch of chaos and he tries to stop her.

It is a fair price probably... plus if you can manage to sit on your hands for maybe a month after it launches you could probably get it for $45. It still boggles my mind that people preorder or buy games day 1 and complain about the price. Prices drop SO FAST.

I think you must have a very small circle... or maybe aren't in the US. There are millions of people who will play the shit out of this. There are people still playing xbox 360 so they can play the 2014 version of this game (lots of them). This game will sell systems when it releases. Now being EA it could suck really badly. I hope that they have a separate team working on this from Madden. Also it sounds like it is not coming this year anyway.

Well I guess all the Sony people were right. They have been telling the Xbox fans... just wait, eventually xbox games will be $70 too.

Same for Cyberpunk that I have never booted up... probably this fall after next gen hits I will play that. There are also strong hints circulating from MS that there are two AAA games releasing this year that have not been announced yet. My totally uneducated guess on those would be a new Forza Horizon game (not the Forza Motorsports that has been teased) and maybe Starfield.

I'm not really liking this wait for upgrades. I kind of understand it for a couple months after the systems release, but moving forward if you don't have ps5 and series x versions of your game ready to go, then your game isn't done yet.

So Microsoft now has two services Gamepass ultimate, and Xbox Live Gold. One is the absolute best value in gaming, and one is the absolute worst.

A couple of thoughts. I think that people being impatient with the story going somewhere has very little to do with the show and a lot to do with the distribution method. We are living in a Netflix world and releasing stuff on a drip drip method for a show like this where you can't figure out what is going on does not really work. People like suspense, but if they are interested in really seeing what happens next then they want to watch the next damn episode. I think the release method worked fine for the Mandalorian and created word of mouth chatter - for this show it is just creating discontentment. On the topic of the source for what they were copying for the first episode - in my opinion totally Dick Vandyke. For one Dick Vandyke was actually a consultant for WandaVision. For another the layout of their house is almost an exact copy. The intro plays off of bits from the Vandyke intro. In the original Dick Vandyke trips over the ottoman, in WandaVision Vision walks through it. The nosy neighbor, having the boss over for dinner, the wife being a bad cook with the neighbor secretly helping cook - those are all taken from Dick Vandyke. I'm not sure what Lucy elements people are seeing but I would be interested in hearing. She lived in a brownstone apartment in New York City.

Are they going to do those timed assassination things with this game like they have in the past? Like where you get to kill someone famous but he is only around for two weeks? Those were kind of cool. Because honestly if not I may wait a year and get a game of the year edition will all three games and all the future DLC for $20.

This is the best summation I have seen so far honestly. I mean I chuckled a few times and had a few trips down memory lane from watching nick at night as a kid... but so far through two episodes it isn't that great. There is still a good chance that it is going somewhere good - but hopefully it doesn't take much longer getting there. The Disney format of releasing an episode each week could hurt a show like this if there isn't some form of payoff soon.

From my standpoint this game is still indefinitely delayed. I bought it day one but my plan was always to wait for the next gen patch. I thought it would be out early this year... But now I guess I'm waiting for fall. It's honestly not hard to wait with all the bad press. Hopefully it's a good game someday.

I still have enough interest that I may binge the whole thing when it is done. Do you know are they finishing the story this season or is it going to have another season after this?

With Deadpool they don't really need to worry about explaining the shenanigans with the different universes. Deadpool can just look at the camera and shrug and say well I guess I'm a part of the MCU now... just address it all directly. That probably makes it a lot easier to keep the deadpool story going. When their is eventually a new wolverine Deadpool can just flat out say wow I thought you used to look a lot more like the actor Hugh Jackman.
