  1. It's going to be ok, and I mean that. We will all face things in life that challenge us. Losing a parent, becoming sick, breakups, not getting that job you really wanted. We can't avoid things we don't want happening. But you have to be able to take it in stride. Having breakdowns or becoming mentally unglued to me more like frustration over lack of control than anything tangible happening to you.
  2. If you are grieving and having panic attacks, you have other issues than this election. I actually don't take a lot of joy in this. I would much rather a stronger Democratic Party than the one that exists. But that partly requires you guys waking up. Screaming racist, transphobe isn't the path forward. I actually like some of the Democratic fiscal policies.
  3. The Dems parading neo cons out to support Harris was one of the dumbest things I've ever seen. "Hey libs, remember those neo cons from 20 years ago you hated? They support Harris too!"
  4. Lots of cope out there today. Losing the popular vote has to be soul crushing. Hopefully the Dems have learned, although it doesn't seem like many people here have, that calling everyone a racist who doesn't want illegals flooding in or calling people a transphobe who don't want dudes competing with their daughters is a losing proposition. Trump's pick ups in demographics Dems have taken for granted should be alarming. I made a small fortune buying Calls on SPY last night. I hope you all did too. The healing begins now. I do hope for a more viable Democratic Party in the future. What an absolute clown show.
  5. Yeah that's not an awful idea. Very hard to know who to trust if you aren't comfortable with finance as many aren't. I had a friend paying Fidelity 2% for some investment service that was literally someone out of school telling him what etf allocation to do. wtf, why?
  6. Nope. That was legit advice that mirrors what 99% of “financial advisors” would tell you. I just saved you the 2% fee annually.
  7. lol, that did look like a bunch of nonsense if someone isn't used to stock stuff.
  8. Depends on your risk appetite. Can't do wrong with SPY/VOO-QQQ/QQQM-SCHG. Maybe start a dividend snowball with SCHD too. Put unneeded cash in a short term TBill ETF like SGOV.
  9. You are young, get out of high interest savings. You should be in growth at the very least.
  10. Made $11k today. I'm clawing back from a $200k hit from volmegeddon last month. Long dated short /ES futures fucking rekt me.
  11. Or learn to trade volatility! Any stock/options/derivative trading here yet?
