  1. There is a pretty strong argument that AI can simplify the process of asset generation. From what I've read, a significant challenge in modern game design is the amount of assets needed -- if you get AI to do much of the "grunt work", and have it finished/tweaked by humans, I would guess there are significant savings that might be realized.
  2. Setting an executable to run as an administrator changes how the operating system treats that executable. How you launch the executable is largely irrelevant.
  3. Friday Night -- Homemade deep-fried beer-battered cod Saturday Night -- Lamb dinner at the Inlaws Sunday Brunch -- Ham, bacon and asparagus with an Italian bread I had never had before Sunday Dinner - Homemade smash burgers Eating is good.
  4. Wii was launched in a world before mobile gaming was a thing. Mobile gaming is probably double the size of console gaming ATM.
  5. He's been the head of their Xbox division for 10 years. That's long enough to determine if he has the vision to turn the studio into a winner. Being successful in business is what he is talking about. I, in general, I have zero interest in most of what Nintendo puts out. If you're interested in more "innovative stuff", I find that happens outside of the console space -- frequently by Indies or on platforms like Roblox.
  6. His problem is that everything MS has done since the X360 gen has largely failed. He needs to look in the mirror to see what their problem is.
  7. If you don't hook up a fan to an RGB header or controller, it won't light up.
  8. PCIe 4.0 SSSs need a heatsink, there really is no practical difference whether you use the one on the motherboard, or the one provided by Samsung. They're both more than good enough. That said, I always buy mine without, as I have a MB that has heatsinks, and its cheaper to buy an SSD without one installed. For practical purposes, it doesn't matter which slot you install the SSD in. If there was something that actually benefitted from a PCIe 5.0 drive in the forseeable future (which I doubt), you could always move your drive to a different slot later. Cases are mostly about how easy they are to build in, and an aesthetic choice. Cheaper ones sometimes come with far fewer fans than I would be comfortable with (i.e. you should probably buy more fans if you intend on using them).
  9. I was pretty sure you didn’t have a horse and buggy or a dot matrix printer. I got rid of my landline last year, when both my boys got cell phones. I technically have “cable TV”, but that’s because it was $25 cheaper a month to get internet and TV, than internet alone.
  10. Horse and Buggies Cable Television Print Newspapers and Magazines Video Games on Optical Media Telephones on a Landline VCRs Busy Signals Dot Matrix Printers What do all of these things have in common?
  11. @best3444 Alex talks about the SteamDeck version, and doesn't recommend it. He speculates that part of the problem may be that this version only includes the PS5 assets, and not the PS4 ones.
  12. It has beautiful visuals, great music and an awesome atmosphere. The story is deliberately very "surreal". It's meant to be vague and confusing.
  13. My wife agreed to get a pizza oven for me for last year's birthday. It should be here in the next week or so. I'm so excited about being able to cook "real" pizza at home.
  14. Recap of worlds: Roll Better ROLLBETTER.GG Republic Arcs are the meta, 3 of the top four were Republic ARCs (and both in the final) New world champion is Ilias Ikonimidis, the youngest World Champion ever The new Battle of Endor scenario pack was used extensively in Rebel/Empire lists. Lots of great pilots. I really hope AMG does a points update, it is time for an update to the meta. In particular, Jag/Wolffe/Oddball can't be 12 points anymore. On a sidenote -- I won my first league game this season (Week 4) -- playing a top UK player (eliminated in the top 8 out of 113 of the most prestigious UK tournament). Lots of great players on my team (French Champion, Canadian Champion, Spanish Champion), so I am given the least favourable matchup. It was really emotionally tough last season, because I was playing great players who had an advantageous matchup in terms of faction/scenario. I got creamed a whole lot. However, I learned a ton, and am really improving. Now, to the point that I can actually beat some good players with a little luck.
  15. F1 - The Official Home of Formula 1® Racing WWW.FORMULA1.COM Enter the world of Formula 1. Your go-to source for the latest F1 news, video highlights, GP results, live timing, in-depth analysis and expert commentary This isn't the first time this kind of thing has happened in F1, and it has gone unpenalized in the past. I agree with Joylon, in that I think the penalty was heavily influenced by where Russel's car ended up.
  16. The 20 second penalty on Alonso was very harsh. I get he was playing games, but Russell was not even close -- and they didn't touch.
  17. We go through milk so quickly, that it is not a problem. My wife occasionally doesn't put the coffee cream back in the fridge, so I know it's bad when it curdles in the coffee. "Best Before" dates are really conservative, and in some cases (obviously not milk) are not even really needed.
  18. True, but every so often one comes out that is decent.
  19. Marvel Rivals is a 6v6 hero shooter in development at NetEase, testing begins in May | PC Gamer WWW.PCGAMER.COM Once again, Doctor Doom is mad about something and he's making it everyone's problem.
  20. Pickle Chips and Ketchup Chips exist in Canada (as do other weird flavours like BBQ). They are, however, far less popular than "normal" flavours.
  21. Don't you have collisions in the US? They're two distinct flavours of chips that they put in the same bag. In this case one of the two worst chip flavours - pickle (with the other being ketchup), and normal Cool Ranch.
  22. At least you don't have this travesty like we do:
  23. I stole them from Arthur Gies’ Twitter feed. He had many other charts, if that would help you understand their other points.
  24. My perspective is that any minor differences in clock speeds are not noticeable in real life use. The best GPU is the one you can actually buy. I don't have any experience with PNY GPUs. (The MSI 1070 in my old gaming PC from 2016 is still going strong though!)
