What weather station do you have?  This is really cool!

It is  Tempest Weather System (Disclosure after I bought mine, I was impressed with how it worked and actually having a local forcast, I invested with the company).

    SHOP.WEATHERFLOW.COM

The Tempest Weather Station provides the most precise, local forecast available. Simple to install and completely wireless - get instant access to weather data.

There is a big map of them to check local conditions as well.

@Littleronin - wind gusts at the highest elevations of the Sierra Nevada have been clocked at the equivalent of a Category 4 hurricane.

With snow falling two to four inches an hour, travel is life-threatening and impossible, and portions of the highly-traveled I-80 will likely close for days.

That does not surprise with the way it has been here. I think I heard someone mention that breaking the record (199MPH) that has been seen in the high elevations is not out of the question.

I was talking to a deputy friend and  we agreed that this is the worst we have had it with wind (how strong as well as duration) that we have had it in about 10ish years. Normally we get in the 70-80mph range around the lake for a couple of hours with mid 40s in town during that time. This will end up being almost a 3 day event for us. He mentioned how he was tired of ticketing semis and people with travel trailers for not taking note of the travel restrictions posted on the digital signage.

I just woke up from a nap to see that they just cleared a RV that rolled over near the lake. Stupid people.

  2. The cuteness know no bounds.

I would post of pic of my puppy that I got for nearly the same reason, but he is huge and dumb and doesn't deserve to take any attention away from the cute and lovable.

The "freight train" noise of the wind is exactly what experiencing the eye wall of a hurricane is like.

In town we don't normally get that sound during the high wind times. The facility I work at is about 5 miles South and about 1000ft higher in elevation  with nothing around it except the wind coming off 8000-9000 foot mountains. We are currently losing our fence line (sounds like a maintenance issue) and we are about 5 hours from the start of the worst winds. Going outside in it immediately knocks the breathe out of you.

Side note, just looking at the various gauge in the area. One out by the lake here registered 105mph about 45 minutes ago. It looks like the truckers have actually decided not to push through, as there hasn't been reports of rollovers yet.

  4. This might be the first year I am looking forward to OOTP over The Show. of course I will be getting them both, but just feeling The Show is suffering Madden syndrome at this point.

It’s snowing in California right now. Check mate.

A buddy of mine's mining company that he works for said today that his company was warned to not have workers on site by NWS Reno as they could potentially get 20 feet of snow at the mine.

In town itself we just entered the High Wind Warning windows and seen some decent gusts. We were warned that we could see 70mph winds which means the stretch of highway going North out of town could see 100+ MPH winds. Snow and whatnot isn't suppose to start here until Saturday morning.

Add to the fact, this contract has been sitting there since the start of free agency. It’s ridiculous that Boras holds his agents as hostages during the offseason.

If Snell signs with the Yankees, Boras (and by extension his clients) is the biggest loser of the offseason.

Bellinger back to the Cubs 1/$30M if he is good and 3/$80M if he sucks.

Man, got to love these all reward, no risk opt-out contracts for players. Players Union would have a hissy fit if was such thing as a team opt-out, "Well, if you such, we just get to void the rest of the contract."

  8. My favorite one so far about the jerseys is the player from the Mariners posting something on twitter about how something looked wrong with the jersey and there was a reply from Fanatics saying that it looked like something was wrong and he needed to contact them to remedy the issue. Not realizing that he wasn't a regular customer by a big leaguer.

  9. Dude wants a 1 game season with no playoffs. In that one game he is only required to play a half inning of his choosing. Oh and still gets his $38,571,428 for the season.

Somebody needs to do something about Fanatics. Have you seen the new uniforms??? All of them look like the shittiest cheapest knockoffs. Embarrassing.

How else are they suppose to get the 9 billion or so relic pieces on the cheap for this years low end card releases on the cheap?

  11. Back in 2020 I have a concussion which has led to a permanent post-concussion syndrome.  This has cause a whole life style change since due to the onset of light sensitivity (only work at night, trying not to drive long distances during daytime, blackout curtains everywhere in the home with dimmable lighting for myself in the room I'm in, ect). I also have a non-stop ringing in my ears along with constant headaches. My gaming life has changed as the games I can play and enjoy has tend to be slower paced (I still try to play some action style games but I take my time). I don't really watch TV much anymore and screen time in general is down. There are other things, but my life has changed so much since that time.

A good table with a gun successfully neutralized a bad guy (a baby).

To be fair the table was operating under the impression that the baby was going to be the next Hitler.
