Anything less than 100% is a waste of time. Don’t even bother.

    Hey all.

Would love to ask your opinions about the game and whether based on the post below if I would enjoy it. I have not purchased it yet, but am thinking about it. I initially was very interested but the bugs, performance, and some of the reviews have made me hesitate. Especially at a $70 price tag. I love RPGs, and they're probably my favorite genre but like anyone I like some more than others.

I would probably recommend what I did with Best and say try the first one (Dark Arisen) when it goes on sale for $5 (which happens often). It's essentially the same game but a bit more rough to look at. If you jive with it then maybe decide to move on to Dragon's Dogma 2.

I really think it's a "you have to try it and find out" type game. The priorities of this game are basically your list in reverse. Very fun combat, exploration is fun and there are a lot of things to discover (no real dungeons so to speak). And the story is kind of whatever, and there meaningful choices to the quests, a lot of them have multiple outcomes and sort of character development but I think you yourself have to decide you care for the character rather than the game making you care about them. I would still say it's a bit more straightforward than the first game where my beloved ended up being the witch girl which was very strange later in the game. :p

I think you might find something to like here but like I said maybe try the first one.

  3. There was a truck in front of me with a US Army sticker, a Trump as Calvin peeing on the word "liberals" sticker, a Let's go Brandon sticker and a sticker that said, "Does this ass make my truck look big?" with a picture of Joe Biden on it.

    Can you guess the manufacturer?

    Bonus points for the color.

Now I wish I would have started that way. However, I'm 60 hours into the game and it felt weird trying to change control schemes so far into the game. Guess I'm not playing any more Forbidden West until I find some Hall Effect joysticks I can toss into this thing. Also, I need to not be lazy about it because, unlike Nintendo, Sony decided to go all solder points on the sticks in the Dualsense. Nintendo's sticks are held in with screws as a single ribbon, no soldering required.

Obviously you just need to spend $200 on a dual sense edge so when the sticks die you can spend money to replace the sticks.

    :sickos:

  5. He's 100% correct and it almost goes hand in hand with that review I posted a long time ago. This is a game you need to take slow to really enjoy, but he hits some other points too.

The story sucks, yeah, it was not great in the first game and like I said earlier the anime is probably the best the story has been for Dragon's Dogma and people said it's dumb. Well guess what? It's exactly like the freakin game! The story is there to send you out in the world, not something you play to mainline because it's so compelling because it's not.

I hate to bring it up but I was watching Max play it and he didn't like it. But he's also not paying attention to anything, then he gets confused. People say try a different vocation and he's not having fun as the warrior and switches to the mystic spearhand and kinda likes it but he also is not leveling up the vocation to get to the good stuff. He's not charging his stun. He says he's having no fun in the cities and when he went out exploring he had this revelation that, the exploring is really fun. Yes! Get out there and check out the world, there are so many things to stumble upon so many hidden quests and stuff, areas that you've walked past multiple times but that next time you go off the beaten path and find something you've never seen before. That's the game.

His thing about the armor is right too. I just wear what I think looks good, at the end of the day it doesn't matter too much. Hell half the pawns you hire are all wearing the skimpiest clothing anyway. :p

I switched classes to the Mage because I wanted levitate for an item in Vernworth and it's not super fun early on, maybe ever, but I did think it was cool how you could cast the lightning spell and keep pushing the button and you cast lightning till your stamina runs out. :p

In your honest opinion in DD2 better than part 1?

I haven't finished DD2 yet, heck I haven't gotten to the second area yet either, so I can't really say without a doubt it is. I do recognize some of the criticisms with the game in comparison to the first one like some of the vocations being better, but I think I enjoy the second one more, it just seemed more refined in a lot of ways and was pretty much what I expected for the better.

A lot of gripes about it being too easy and things like that, keep in mind DDDA added a lot of content to the game over the original. It added Bitterblack Isle, it added new enemies, it added new skills and equipment, re-balanced gameplay, added the eternal ferrystone so you could fast travel as much as you want. It was actually insane how much the game changed. So I could imagine that happening to Dragon's Dogma 2 and a lot of the gripes people have with the game will probably be fixed. I'm fine with it as it is right now minus the performance and I probably would be content playing it with just the performance patch.

If the steam forums are anything to be believed this game was only made with a team of 492 people or something like that, which is pretty small compared to what a lot of AAA studios are doing these days, so I hope they work hard, stay busy and bring us a lot of good content for the game. 👍

    [Netflix]

    Synchronic: 7/10

Another film from Moorehead & Benson, this one lets you know early you're in for a trip. A couple of people take some drugs and then find themselves somewhere in the past. At this point we might assume it's some crazy hallucination but the film follows two paramedics that seem to be following the aftermath of victims of the drug and many of them have mysterious injuries. The thing they all have in common is they took a drug called Synchronic. Anthony Mackie plays one of the paramedics (Steve) and is diagnosed with a cancer in his pineal gland. Meanwhile his Paramedic coworker, Dennis, who is also his best friend, Dennis' daughter disappears after taking the drug and since Steve has nothing to lose decides to experiment with the drug and comes up with a way to bring the daughter back.

Like a lot of Moorhead & Benson movies it has an ambitious idea but not everything comes together. The time traveling angle is actually very cool. However, it's all kind of mixed in this family drama stuff. The cops are racist and the movie really tries to ham up that angle (though it does make sense for Louisiana) and maybe Mackie is a bit too silly in this. But if you can push past the first part of the movie the time travel stuff really carries a lot of the movie.

  8. One of the reasons I don't skip battles, though rare, you may be in a disadvantageous battle where you might take some damage. The game only shows you the damage numbers, you have to watch the battle to see what happened, maybe one guy in the formation dies.

But then I guess you could say you could skip and see someone died as well so 🤷‍♀️ I suppose.

Tbf, Chipotle sucks and the employees don’t know the god damned menu. Every time I’ve gone they want to charge me for guac when I point to the menu where it says guac included with whatever item. Then they still want to charge for it.

Of course that doesn’t justify shooting somebody.

You should be shot for eating at a Chipotle.

Lol why buy something so expensive? I have the $20K home and it does everything you need it too.

Why buy a Botticelli painting when you can buy a painting from a 2 year old?

Why buy filet mignon when you can go to burger king?

Why buy a Ferrari when you can buy a Geo Metro?

Because it's nicer bro. You're sleeping in the slums and think it's everything you need. Wait till you move into this new place where the Beastren wipe your ass for you!
