That being said, if what Grubb says is true I doubt they meant Divinity: Original Sin 3.

Well I don't think it's a true or false thing, just speculation based on Vincke's own statement, sounds like they are keeping it close to the vest

IGN had the pleasure of sitting down with Larian Studios head Swen Vincke at GDC to talk about...well, everything. The talk we'd just heard, the news he dropped about Baldur's Gate 3, how the studio is doing post-release, how he feels about the games industry, all of it.

You've also said in the past that you did eventually want to make Divinity: Original Sin 3. Is that what this is, or is it totally new?

    Vincke: I can't tell you.

Fair enough. I had to ask.

Vincke: Yeah, I can't tell you. No, it will have its proper moment. Hopefully nobody's going to leak it for us, but it's different than what you think it is, but it is still familiar enough for you to recognize that it's something that we are making.

It's been a while so I'm not sure that's what they were talking about at the time, but let's just say it is. :p

They may not but I hope Larian does Divinity: Original Sin 3 next personally.

I think [Guy who's full of shit (according to some)] Jeff Grubb had the right idea. Riding off the high from BG3 it seems likely they would do some original thing so more people who are familiar with them from BG3 can start fresh with a new thing they can build off of and bring new people in.

Did he ever get to the point? I am genuinely trying to figure out what his point was.

He started out by doing the academy thing as an aside.....but then never seemed to get to what he was actually trying to say about Kimmel....

The point is Jimmy Kimmel was stupid for reading a truth on air. Kind of like @MarSolo is stupid for posting a truth here. :p

    [Netflix]

The Makanai: Cooking for the Maiko House: 9/10

This show kind of flew under the radar but probably should have garnered more attention. It's a show written and directed by Hirokazu Kore-eda for Netflix and based on a Manga Kiyo in Kyoto. It follows two best friends, Kiyo and Sumire, as they both travel to Kyoto to a Maiko house to become Maiko (which is an apprentice Geisha). Kiyo isn't quite suited for the role but Sumire emerges as a prodigy and Kiyo instead becomes the makanai (which is basically the chef of the house). So the show is a lot of the goings on of becoming a maiko and all the relationships between all the people who live there. Unlike Kore-eda's other works (from what I've seen) this show is a lot more uplifting and happy. Kore-eda always seems to make movies that feel so natural that you feel like you're not even watching anything scripted and that feels like this show too. The acting feels so natural. The show is gorgeous to watch as well. It's shot so well and it looks so good, you'll never see a piece of boiled broccoli look so good in your whole life. Overall a pleasant surprise for me. Pro tip if you do watch it, make sure you always watch the opening credits as they show whatever is being cooked in that episode.

The quirky sequel isn't perfect, but it deserves to be influential.

Another thing about the first point they made is that you can equip passives from every vocation no matter the class, like Mage has a magic defense passive. You can be a warrior and equip the same passive if want super duper defense. The archer's weak point one is another good one too, for instance.
