    america ferrera is one of the weakest performances to be nominated in a while. gotta be a combo of a weaker field for supporting actress this year and the politicking. robbie and gerwig still got nominations for best picture and screenplay respectively, so im not too upset. they’ve added a lot of academy members in the last 5 or so years, and that means more members worldwide. one of the international directors likely pushed gerwig out. best actress is stacked. i hated maestro so id kick mulligan out and put robbie in. and i would DEFINITELY kick cooper out for efron.

    i’ve spent almost my whole life in the bay area so i’m aware of how SF is. which is why i said it’s probably a good call to not bring your sister there. i could definitely see somebody doing something. i haven’t followed antisemitic crimes in SF but with all the other stuff that’s happened especially the violence against asians, it makes sense you wouldn’t want her there.

    you live in SF though. a lot of liberal areas are very soft. even just other parts of the bay are a different vibe from SF.

    was talking to my friend yesterday and we ate both fucking dreading this election no matter what. the last one was fucking terrible. if trump fucking wins the nomination and we gotta do this again… i think desantis has a chance to over perform in iowa. i haven’t read a single thing about iowa that’s just my feeling. i think meatball might have some supporters that will help him finish above haley.

    there’s a lot of liberals that support israel still. or if they don’t support israel, they still think hamas is bad. most liberals really aren’t that far to the left they’re closer to the center. there’s just a small pocket of people that wish harm on jewish people for this. and then i guess you could add them to the list of people that commit hate crimes. but yeah SF might not be the best place for her right now. other blue areas are probably less worrisome. is your sister in SLC? i would imagine that’s the least conservative part of utah so that could be a good spot.

    She doesnt really need to be jacked. She'll probably add a bit of muscle but it's not like we are playing as her where in the game you felt the different playstyle and weight to her character when doing melee.
