  1. New Yorker Suspends Jeffrey Toobin for Zoom Dick Incident WWW.VICE.COM In a statement to VICE, Jeffrey Toobin apologized for the "embarrassingly stupid mistake."
  2. They may not tighten at all. But nobody knows what happens over the next 15 days. For all we know, it could be like 08 where McCain couldn't tighten the race for the life of him.
  3. Quibble on her election strategy comment: prepping for the debate, which will get a large audience, is a good move. He's been campaigning a lot the past few months and getting this last big moment (that he can control) correct is a big deal as the debate is less than two weeks prior to the last day to vote.
  4. It took me I think two hours to figure out the 12th colossus. O_O It gripped me from the start, but this is a really cool story. Holy shit, 14 years in the making.
  5. It was insane for them to think that since it hasn't been a sure thing since 2008 even when they won, but I wouldn't bet money two weeks out.
  6. wtf? I wanna know what they're looking at because Biden's polling well, but it's not this insurmountable lead, especially two weeks out.
  7. This is a good reminder that polling errors go both ways. See: Cruz vs. Beto Trafalgar predictably sucked. They also had the Georgia governor up 12 and he won by a little more than 1. If the polling errors were this big in his favor, Biden would take Texas as of today.
  8. FYI: This is not THAT Rasmussen. From what I understand, he split off from the Rasmussen we know. Montana's close.
  9. After the debate, we were wondering if the +12 Biden polls were outliers or not. They're not; they're the constant. I hope it stays like this and the polls act similarly to Obama's in 08. Why's 15 days have to be so long? I'd feel great if it were Nov 3 right now.
  10. One of the most unique games I remember on the PS2, Shadow of the Colossus blew me away by its sense of scale. While there wasn't much to do in the world, there was a hypnotic element to it that made many of us want to explore it. As Cory Barlog said when talking about exploration of God of War, he loved going around SOTC, getting some place, and thinking, "I'm the first person who found this place," even though any player can get to the same area. I remember on IGN, the common criticism of the slowdown was that it was a PS3 game on the PS2. And so we eventually got a smoother game on the PS3 from Bluepoint: But Bluepoint really shined in the 2018 remake. What a wonderful adventure that was with some delightful Easter eggs involving the other GenDesign games (ICO, The Last Guardian):
  11. Biden's poll numbers at this moment nearly perfectly match a uniform +8 swing in his direction. That's impressive consistency considering he's averaging +10 in the national polls and Clinton "won" the vote by +2.
  12. http://www.nytimes.com//vi-assets/static-assets/apple-touch-icon-28865b72953380a40aa43318108876cb.png Why These Voters Rejected Hillary Clinton but Are Backing Joe Biden - The New York Times WWW.NYTIMES.COM For many Democrats and independents who sat out 2016, voted for third-party candidates or backed Donald Trump, Mr. Biden is more acceptable to them in ways large and small than Mrs. Clinton was. Interesting tidbit from the Bernie camp and Bernie wing of the party:
  13. I agree. Like More Cowbell. Great skit, but the whole episode didn't consist of a bunch of skits of that caliber. The Tom Hanks one from 2016 was as close to perfect as I remember recently.
  14. There have been so many good skits on snl since I started watching on and off in 2016. Black Jeopardy with Tom Hanks was pretty damned good and one of my favs, but there's plenty. They've put a lot up online. I had no idea Darrell Hammond did All Gore in 2000. Holy smokes, he was on fire.
  15. I wanna see get presentation because I believe it goes into resource allocation and map expansion. Map expansion gets me excited.
  16. Since my Gf is in forensics, I relayed this to her and asked her opinion. She said that's exactly what she's seeing, and she said "suicide season" (Thanksgiving thru early February when suicides are typically highest) started at least a month ago.
